I was wrong on some of those according to that list.

I wasn't trying to call you out either.........I just got to reading about them.  Never knew much about WHERE they started until today.

I'm not afraid to admit I posted something wrong.  ;D

The build is going amazingly well!  I am extremely detail oriented (some may say anal) and a month into the process, I am really not finding a whole lot I can bitch about.  I think they're doing a damn good job!  The blueprints say the space is 1,572 sq. ft.  Total cost to complete which includes electrical and plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, granite counter tops, appliances, doors, windows, flooring, HVAC and other mechanicals (water heater, etc.), brick work, etc. looks like it'll come in right at about a quarter of a million dollars excluding landscaping.  I know that sounds like a big number but it really isn't when one considers the cost of assisted living (that might cover 5 years?) and how much happier she will be here with us...something you can't really put a price on.

Now, if I could just convince them that we need to put one of these in when we build our paver courtyard, life would be grand!  (There is a link in that sentence, Henry, since you don't seem to know what they look like...they're blue...you can click on them)

Thanks, Locutus!  Probably 1/3 to 1/2 of our property is a total pig fuck right now (we even have a Port-O-Let!) but it'll work itself out.  I'm really happy that it's coming along this well and that I don't have to micro-manage the project.

As a bonus, my garden is thus far unscathed and I have mature basil and ripening tomatoes.  Time to buy some mozzarella and make caprese salad!

Awesome!  8)  Kind of a risky investment in the current economy though, no? But I guess if you are planning to live there another 20 years it is not.

Love the pool feature though. I wonder what that would add to the price?

Might be nice to consider for my own backyard!

Not really an investment at this point; just the right thing to do.  Unless we decide to sell off everything and move to Europe after the mom dies to finally rid ourselves of ever having to deal with the likes of a couple of people who frequent this forum and are hell bent on destroying this country, we'll probably be here until we die.

The pool costs roughly 30% more to build than a conventional pool but pays back the difference in decreased cost of ownership.

You could have found a real nice 32 foot RV trailer with a couple of slide outs for a very reasonable price.  Put out behind your house and when the reaper  :reap: comes as it will for everyone.  You could sell the trailer and be money ahead.     A lot of money ahead.

I know that trailer living can be real nice because my wife and I live in one two or three months every year in Alabama and Florida.

Yes Sir, you never know what bridge I will be hiding under and there is a lot of bridges in Florida, Locutus.     I really like the bridge over the Big Manatee River down there at Palmetto and the Sunshine Skyway bridge is really great too.  Us Trolls really know our bridges and I hope some of them are fix soon.   :haha:  But don't count of those damn Republicans.  :puke:

Locutus

I know.

Well if you ever find a bridge down my way, make sure you crawl out and I'll buy you a beer.  ;D

INDIANAPOLIS -
The Indianapolis Fire Department says three people were killed when a bus carrying teens from a church camp crashed on a busy thoroughfare near Interstate 465. It happened along Keystone Ave. near 96th Street at around 4:00 pm.

The three people were a married couple, along with a teenager. It isn't known if the teen was related to the husband and wife.

The bus was carrying 37 passengers who are members of Colonial Hills Baptist Church and were returning from camp in Michigan when the crash happened Saturday afternoon. Most of them were teenagers.

Witnesses told police that the bus was exiting I-465 and trying to make a left onto southbound Keystone Ave. at a very high rate of speed. The bus driver later told a witness that his brakes failed.

The bus entered the median and struck the concrete retaining wall, flipped into the air and landed on its side, traveling some distance, the metal leaving skid marks as it ground against the concrete. . .

Anne

This morning they are saying the third person killed was a chaperon on the trip, a mother of some of the teenagers on the trip. The couple killed was the youth minister and his pregnant wife. Their 2 year old son survived. It is so sad when something like this happens.

  Hi Locutus

I'll probably never be back to Florida.  :'(  We sold the trailer we had stored and lived in an Hide Away RV Park on the Little Manatee River just South of Ruskin.  The tomato and Mexican capital of Florida, Si, Si.  :tomahit:  In fact the grocery store in Ruskin was the only grocery story I ever seen where they had two armed Pinkerton guards every day and a health clinic with iron bars on the windows and the doctor with a guard dog with a big sign in Engish and Spanish do not attempt to pet dog.  :dogrun: :police: :police:

I fell on the ice after a big ice storm we had up here in Indiana.  I broke two ribs and really hurt my back.  Couldn't stand the ride down to the sunshine state and we sold the trailer we had for the price we wanted.    Stayed a month and a half and as we left so did our trailer with two new happy campers.

We are trying to get our friends to fly down and get a beach front condo, but he's a little cheap :haha:  :haha:

I sure do like salt water. :surf:  :shrk:   It keeps you in shape.

Thanks for the invite, if I come down it will be in a surf side condo.       The Troll said that.  :trustme:
