Same here.
Same here. For what it's worth, I believe it does should take a village .... for the sake of the children, no matter what we think of the parents.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

Exactly the point I was trying to make - mostly anyway. And I really think she was saying the same thing. I don't think government has a thing to do with this discussion.

I guess when I hear a liberal talk about investments, I think of taxes, or government spending.  That is what went through my brain when she said it.  NOW, ws that what she was implying?  I think it was.  That is what disturbs me.  But, you may be right and she was referring to the public, investing their own money and time into programs to benefit others, along with their own.  In that fashion, I support.

More than that ....

Investment in time.
Investment in effort.
Investment in loving.
Investment in caring.

You conservatives are such hard asses. Does everything you think about revolve around money and who is gonna get your money?

You conservatives?  lol,  first of all, I actually DO give very much of my time to other peoples kids.  I coach 9 months a year.  I have other peoples kids in my home MOST of the time, I feed them and love them.  I have in the past worked food kitchens.....along with some of my OWN money that I don't keep track of or turn in on my taxes.....Most of my conservative friends do the same thing.

so be careful using words like "you conservatives"  I think conservatives are far more "giving" without recognition than MOST liberals that I personally know.

Touche, eh? How many times have you written "you liberals?"

And ... it doesn't sound like you "personally know" very many liberals.

plenty of times, but I NEED to quit.  I get carried away once in a while, in case you have never noticed.    Yes, I do know plenty of libs...not all are bad, but I know some "stingy" ones....that think everybody owes THEM.

Just like I can honestly say that I know some really tightfisted, greedy conservatives.

I really don't like stereotyping.

I absolutely did so, you dumb bitch.  In addition to my taxes paying for the additional infrastructure necessary to support your spawn while you claimed them as exemptions, my property taxes paid for the schools they attended.  Now, I'm paying for your grand-children.  It's pretty simple fucking math that even someone as ignorant as you are should be able to grasp.
When did you move to Tn?  You act like you're doing it single handed and you're not.  Everyone, including me, is paying so STFU whiner.  And also fyi my kids and my grandkids in In have graduated and are paying for other school kids just like you are.

You should pay because they're your fucking kids!

I'm sure there will be grand-babies if there aren't already; you rednecks breed like roaches.

In Tn and not school age yet so you aren't paying for them.  Also before you even go there I might add the fathers have excellent jobs that pay quite well and none of them have ever been on welfare or food stamps.  They are also not getting reduced school lunches so kiss my ass.  You're just jealous 'cause you'll have no one in your golden years is all.  Some have also served their country, Air Force, and Navy and a grandson is now a Russian interpreter for the Air Force so don't go there either.  None had any schooling paid for on the GI bill either.   :finger2:

You seriously don't get it; do you.  I don't care how much money they make but I'm pretty sure that we have different definitions of "excellent jobs that pay quite well."  More people = more infrastructure which costs more money.  Your relatives with children increase the demand for infrastructure while paying lower taxes by way of exemptions for their spawn so yes, the rest of us subsidize them just like we did you.

QuoteYou're just jealous 'cause you'll have no one in your golden years is all.

LMFAO!  Yeah, jealous of someone whose only claim to fame is that she couldn't keep her legs together...go with that.
