My point is that simply if the lady who did the solo with the choir could do it, there's really no reason that Beyonce couldn't have done it as well.

And as far as the article stating that there was no opportunity for a rehearsal in advance, one would think that if you're going to be singing at the inauguration of the POTUS, you would find the time for a rehearsal.
My thoughts exactly.

I would think that a person who was standing within the group of singers that she had practiced with many many time wouldn't have much of a problem.  But standing up by yourself and not with the band, to me would be a problem in its self and it would keep you from making a mistake.   Can anyone here on the Zone do it.

In case you overlooked it the lady in the choir was doing it and she does not sing with that band all the time either.  Go back and watch the video again.

Here's Beyonce's performance since we're talking about it and it hasn't been posted yet.

Much ado about nothing.

On the grand scheme of things.......yeah, I gotta agree with ya.

It bothers me more, that the Inauguration Committee is making excuses for it....and yet, I probably won't lose any sleep over it.

  Out of respect for him. I heard it live and thought at the time there was something 'off' about her singing , but lip-syncing never occurred to me.

(To tell the truth, what I really thought was that they should've had someone who could hit the high notes the way they were written sing it. I personally like a booming male voice belting out the National Anthem.)

I'm talking about all of it.  There are too many variables to simply leave something like this to chance.  A voice is every bit as much a musical instrument as, say, a Cello and, as such, is affected by the same environmental influences.
I agree with both of the statements you made actually plus the fact that this particular song requires a lot of air and sucking all that cold air into your lungs is an invitation for pneumonia or bronchitis.  I just think since she did prerecord it she could have done a much better job.  It just didn't seem as though her heart was in it is all.  I listen to music differently than most though so and even though she sounded fine I was disappointed in other aspects of her performance and even more so after finding out it was prerecorded. No biggy really just an observation and a comment not intended as criticism.

Ok, who came in a sneaked that extra word into my sentence in the above post?

This surge on the purchase of firearms and ammunition has now negatively impacted law enforcement; locally Greenwood and Franklin Police Departments both are experiencing shortages on ammo orders. They are being told there is a 1-2 year wait to fill their annual ammunition orders at this time. . .

What is new about the shortage of ammo.  The United States Army has had shortage of 223 cal and 9MM ammo for years fighting two wars.  If it wasn't for the Isreal ammo makers we would have ran out.

I don't think its just the good ol' boys buying guns and ammo.  I probably would be buying if it wasn't that I found a good buy on 45 cal and 9MM years ago and bought more than I would ever use.

What I would like to know is, why does Franklin and Green Wood cops need so much ammo for.  They only have one bullet in every gun, Barney style
