I agree!  WTF was she thinking anyway?

  What's wrong with it?   It was her voice and I didn't see anything wrong with.  With the acoustics of all of the speaker out in the audience, the added stress of being there, I don't see a thing wrong with it.  Talk about being pettie.  If she had screwed up the words, you still would have found fault.

And one more video from today.  I'm a sucker for a good performance regardless of political persuasion.  If anyone saw the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir's rendition of the Battle Hymn of the Republic today, you know what  a great job they did.  What an honor it must have been for the soloist to sing in such a ceremony, and what an honor it must have been to be able to participate as a group.

Uh, she had an earpiece and monitors Troll she wasn't listening to the audience speakers and would not have even been able to hear them most probably even if she had actually been doing the singing instead of lip syncing. I would say they were using a little different set up than would be at a ball game type venue.

The lady in the choir did a fantastic job not Beyonce, her performance sucked considering.  She needs to give up on vocal gymnastics and just sing.

I'm talking about all of it.  There are too many variables to simply leave something like this to chance.  A voice is every bit as much a musical instrument as, say, a Cello and, as such, is affected by the same environmental influences.

There are actually some good reasons to lip-sync in high profile events.

I don't get this "there was no opportunity for Ms. Knowles-Carter to rehearse with the Marine Band before the Inauguration"....WTH?  Did they NOT plan on anybody singing the National Anthem at this event?  How is it possible, that there was NO time to rehearse?  This was NOT a last minute decision to have an inagural entertainment.........somethin fishy about that statement.

My point is that simply if the lady who did the solo with the choir could do it, there's really no reason that Beyonce couldn't have done it as well. 

And as far as the article stating that there was no opportunity for a rehearsal in advance, one would think that if you're going to be singing at the inauguration of the POTUS, you would find the time for a rehearsal.
