Ya, his idea of working across the aisle is, "if it isn't what I want when it comes across my desk I'll veto it".  Reid just refused to bring anything they didn'tlike up for a vote to try to work out a compromise. So, in essense, what we have is a POTUS who does what he wants and there is no room for compromise. If he can't get congress to do what he wants he just goes the excutive order route whether it's legal or not.

All I can say is ... WOW!

Mrs. Clinton isn't that much younger than Mr. Sanders.

Sorry Anne.  I just saw this.

While it's true that Clinton isn't that much younger than Sanders (Clinton: 68, Sanders: 74), it is a 6 year difference.  I don't think the issue is as much how old they are now, but how old they might be at the end of a potential two terms in the White House.  That 6 year difference represents 75% of what would comprise a 2 term presidency.  That would make Clinton only 76 years old at the end of a potential 2 terms in office.  That's only 2 years older than Sanders is now.  Sanders, on the other hand, would be 82.

That would make him older than Reagan if elected since he was 69.

Yep, and Reagan is still the oldest president to have assumed office at 69 years, 349 days (according to Google).  ;D

She is, or will be 69 this year which will make her 70 when she takes office if she wins the election. She also has and some health problems a couple years ago. I realise the six years makes a difference but Mrs. Clinton is no spring chicken. When President Obama was running for the Democratic nomination, we heard over and over how she was too old, we needed young people, well she didn't get younger the last eight years. I just think it odd that she was too old eight years ago and isn't now. Aren't there any Democratic governors or senator qualified to be president or is she the perceived nominee because it is her turn, or is Mr, Clinton really that powerful that he can dictate who wins the nomination?

This is another interesting article that says some of the same things some of us have said about Trump.  Trump isn't anything more than a product of the Republican Party itself, and what is has been morphing into for years now.  They created Trump, and they're now reaping what they've sown.

You're welcome, but too bad it'll fall of the deaf ears of the dumb around here.  ;D

Exactly!  Of course, the neocons will deny this in public but it's patently obvious to the rest of us.  Here's another good article on the subject.

Reading that article put me in mind of something I've said both here and to others in person.  When someone says, "I'm not a racist, but......," you can almost guarantee that whatever follows the 'but' will be something racist.
