Speaking of Trump, this morning I heard something that was  The man has no sense of propriety, of dignity, or of at least the pretense of refinement expected in someone who might become POTUS. But back to what I heard:

I was watching MSNBC, with the Morning Joe group, including Chuck Todd. They talked back and forth a little about Trump's latest gaffe, and finally decided to show it live after first warning about not having children in the room. The scene was one of his rallies, with a large loud group of people. A woman somewhere in the crowd yelled something (inaudible) that got The Donald's attention, so he said something like he wouldn't repeat it but he couldn't stop anyone else, so she yelled it again and maybe again, and then he decided to let everybody listening know what was going on, so he repeated, for all to hear, loud and clear, what she said: "He's a p***y!" Trump said with a big grin as the crowd roared. I don't know who they were referring to.
He is honest and tells it like it is........kind of refreshing if you ask me.  I'm tired of PC people.  Big deal........he called someone a "p***y"........is that worse than lying or trying to cover something up?  NOPE.

And you think Hillary IS honest?

Tell me, WHO out of ALL of these guys do you think is honest?
Show me where Trump has been dishonest?  Any proof, or do you just hate him because he is a billionaire?

No, I dislike him because he's is a douchebag and a stark example of what can happen when you let stupid people vote.

And Hillary is a great example of what can happens when you let eve stupider people vote.

I know you are entitled to your opinion....I am seriously curious as to why you think he is a douchebag.  Out of all the people that can be POTUS this next year, I think he has as much to offer than any of the others.
I still haven't made my mind up yet.

I don't know; maybe his parents raised him that way?

It's actually scary how many people believe that.

This is your way of leaving the door open so that you can switch your allegiance to someone else if Trump doesn't get the nomination.

I noticed you didn't respond to this one...

I am leaning towards The Donald....I like Ted well enough.  I despise Bush.  I love Ben, but he isn't going to make it.  Christie isn't bad, but I don't think he will make it either....with all of that said, any of them will be better than Hillary or Bernie.  So, that's where I am on this.

It is not nearly as scary as the amount of people that actually believe Hillary would be a good POTUS...........and the Bern isn't a lot better.......but he IS BETTER.

Back to the word Trump used (p***y) that I wrote about. Why don't you ask your wife and/or children and the people at church what they think about his filthy mouth? I know what most men cuss, and some do so badly, but educated people, especially in high places or who aspire to be POTUS know the difference between private use among peers or others who do the same, and saying something like that on live TV for the whole world to see/hear.

I'm not crazy about her but she's a lot better than either of the whack-jobs currently leading the conservative race.

Bernie would give the Republicans a chance that they do not have with Hillary as is explained in this conservative's blog post.

I think it is his own fault, he had plenty of support early on......he is just not assertive enough.  He is still green in the political world.  I would in a heart beat support him, if I knew he had a chance.  His personality is too passive for this day and time...imo.

but, YOU did say it.  Not for the reasons you stated, but you did call it.  I salute you for that.

I read that.  I don't think Chris Ladd is a "real" conservative, actually, it would be hard NOT to consider him a democrat, but he does have an interesting point of view.

Right now, I think Bernie is the democrats only hope, and I don't see that as much of one.  The only way is if who-ever the GOP'er is, if they don't hang themselves by doing something outrageous.........I think the pendulum will be swinging back to the right next Nov.

But, I have no warm and fuzzy feeling about it, and would NOT be shocked to see Hillary pulling off.........even from prison, there would possible be enough dumb asses that would still vote for her.

Too intelligent, well educated and reasonable to be a Republican?

You're on dope.  As Chris Ladd discusses in his article on the Blue Wall conservatives need to understand and embrace the change in demographics in this country if they ever expect that to happen.  People like Trump and Cruz, while they do appeal to aging, rural, white voters are why your party is and will continue to be in decline.

While it comes as no great surprise to me personally to find a POTUS or candidate for the role cursing like a sailor, I do agree that doing so on national television and within a public venue of any kind drives some very serious concerns surrounding the judgement of any individual doing so.

For starters, what kind of impact is this going to play within international diplomacy? This has now been seen by Kings, Queens, and every other type and style of world leadership throughout the world. IS this the kind of individual I want representing me within the world? Hell to the no! (And yes. I cursed. So what? I doubt any world leader or international diplomat is going to be reading this. And even if they do, so what. I hold no aspirations toward leadership beyond that which I currently hold).

At the same time, I think the Oval Office recordings of Richard Nixon during his Presidency let the cussing cat out of the bag a long, long time ago. And the legendary antics of LBJ, (crapping in the toilet, with the door open while holding strategy sessions and meetings for example), removed any last vestiges of proprietary conduct, (no matter how delusional they were), from the office of POTUS. They crap like everybody else, they leave skid marks in their underwear, and they cuss with the best of us behind closed doors and within private conversation. They just don't hang those stained shorts out in the Rose Garden or along Pennsylvania Avenue, nor posture like a drunken sailor in public venues. (Or they have not to date within modern times anyway).

I've said it before and I'll say it again; Trump is narcissistic blow-hard. If we are stupid enough as a nation to put this idiot in office, we are indeed doomed.
(And such event will do nothing but prove that our government and its various offices are for sale to the highest bidder.)
