If I taught Programming 101, I would automatically flunk anyone who couldn't construct the logic to calculate this!

I would suggest that the two accountants speak to the grad students in our lab, who regularly deal with much more complex calculations in dealing with data collected during experiments conducted in the field.

Sounds like these fiercely independent folk wish to have the government interfere in their business and write the programs for them.

The longer this bullshit drags on, the lower the IQ level of the people who still think the Republicans have their best interests at heart and continue to support their antics.  Note which forum members continue to do so while using terms like "the mass majority of Americans..." in direct contrast to what the polls are saying.  Those still parroting their Republican gods are now somewhere in the 90-100 IQ range...and falling.
