  I have heard such stupid remarks come out of someone who is suppose to be an adult American.  Paying a man who has and  is a excellent tool and die maker with 30 years experience $10 an hour.  You got to be kidding me.  That less that  $3 over minimum wage.  What a Awhile.

  Why did the American companies leave, GREED!  They go to Mexico where the minimum wage is $5 a day.  Chinese workers striking for a raise from the $1.97 Honda is paying them for auto parts they ship to America.  Plus a company who build I-Pods and Blackberries putting nets below the second floor of the barricks, so people won't be able to commit suicide.  from their 36 hour work shifts, 10 people to a room and 97 cents per hour wage.  You Republicans want slavery for the middle class.  Go ahead and just say it.  You don't want Americans to make a good wage.  Just slaves to the big predatory capitalist corporations.

  Right now the Honda Transmission union is on strike for more pay.  Right now they are making on the average of  the highest to the lowest paid worker $220 per month.  $51.76 per week.  They want to be on wage par with the Honda car assembly union who make on average highest to the lowest, $70.59 to $87.06 per week.

  Honda is digging in it's heels, threatening to move the plant and shut down the other Honda plants. Does that sound familiar.  Move the jobs to find lower wages.  Sounds like predatory capitalism.  Hummmmm..

Now they do get great benefits in case you missed that part and look at what the union people make.  I mean isn't that the way it's supposed to be?  The government running everything is great remember.

I'm glad you think you know so much about me.  The thing is what you haven't seemed to figure out is some of those profits you seem to think those corporations are making is put back for bad times as a backup and isn't really profit as such at all.  Now you cut into that by another 15 or 20% that isn't a good thing because thats less money they have to expand and keep things going.  Result they either raise prices or close up shop and move elsewhere where there isn't so much outlay.

There seems to be a misconception that corporations move production out of the country b/c it's cheaper. I don't think the solution is as simple as offering incentives such as tax breaks. The people who take their production out of the US are also avoiding regulation. Important regulation such as child labor laws, waste restrictions, etc.

How does our inport tax compare to that of other countries.

I could be wrong but I'm thinking it's lower to encourage imports which I think is part of the problem.  I think congress wanted to raise it at one point but couldn't get it done 'cause one side or the other didn't want to discourage it, imports.  Don't even know who did what on that one but I thought it was silly no matter which party discouraged it and was of the opinion it should have been raised to stay competitive with what other countries charged on their imports from here.
