There seems to be a misconception that corporations move production out of the country b/c it's cheaper. I don't think the solution is as simple as offering incentives such as tax breaks. The people who take their production out of the US are also avoiding regulation. Important regulation such as child labor laws, waste restrictions, etc.

How does our inport tax compare to that of other countries.

  The main problem is Republican negotiated trade treaties.  NAFTA, WTO and several more. 

  Korean exported almost a million cars into the United States at Zero import tax.  Korea only let in 4000 American cars, mainly armored cars and armored limousines.  Why?  Korea has a 400% tariff on American cars.  Would you, if you were Korean pay $80,000 for an American car that is worth $20,000.  The Republicans with the help of lobbyist wrote these treaties and they are all this bad.
