It,s also not a stretch of the imagination to believe that she's still there for the controversey and ratings. Have you ever noticed how long those people last on reality programs? I can't say that I watch any reality program, including this one, but I always here about those characters who are still there causing drama or to everyone's amazement.

Oh and Henry, she hardly represents the struggling single mother and she opted to have the baby and keep it why would anyone admire her simply  because she's doing what any mother should do? That doesn't make her special or a good dancer.

The American people who are voting for her are the "reality TV" set and IMO the fact that they find reality TV entertaining or the least bit resembling "reality" tells me that the producers of these programs are successfully contributing to the dumbing down of America.

Now, I agree with you on this.....BUT, that is how the rules are, so EVERYBODY knows exactly what they are getting into, when they sign up....or the people who watch the shows, KNOW this is what could happen.

Seriously, the 2009 Census says ther are 13.7 million single parents in the US. They are raising 21.8 million children. 84% of those are mothers. 79.5% of those are gainfully employed. I'd be willing to bet that most of them do not have a media whore mother and baby-daddy supplementing their incomes nor is anyone enterested in putting them on TV to dance only b/c of the attention those two demand. .She's not special for supporting a child she chose to have and keep. She's doing what she should
do and what millions of other single mothers and single  fathers are doing.

She's an attention whore that poses a very serious threat to this country, its traditions, and the office of POTUS; due to the aforementioned dumbing down and laziness of America and its citizens. That anyone as shallow and vain as she obviously is, could garner enough support to even get onto the ballot as VP is one of the most disturbing developments in the history of this nation! (To me)

I think you are not following my point, and yet maybe so. But I will attempt it again.

I think Bristol, represents a lot of young ladies today.  I think the fact she has devoted her time, to speak to other girls about abstinence, and they have a choice, NOT to have sex.  That there is a price to pay for your decisions.  The fact that she was working in a doctors office before she got the offer to do the DWTS show.  Yes, the only reason she was even asked was because of her noteriety of her mother.  But, she took the challange, and has been criticized by the liberal media, just as her mother has been, and has worked hard each week on the show.  She had NO experience in dancing, but has improved noticebly each week.  Even the judges has praised her, and she nearly recieved a perfect score on her last show.  Take that coupled with her newly found "stardom"....she has developed a tremendous fan base. 
I think many are fans of her mom, but I think she has also captured the hearts of many average americans, who can relate to her.
My wife is NOT into politics at all, but has been a fan of hers because she IS not like Jennifer Grey and Brandi, who are experienced dancers and entertainers....she is just an average young lady, working hard.

You're right, I wasn't following you that way. So thanks for explaining further. Although I think w/ other reality programs such as 16 and pregnant kids are aware of one conseqence of unprotected sex. The threat of pregnancy is not a deterrent. Abstinence only education  has been proven. Not to be very effective because kids often lack willpower in the heat of the moment and let's face it, a grin can bring on the heat at that age. I think it's smarter to teach them how to prtoect themselves, not only from unplanned pregnancy, but worse fates.

I need to clear something up too. I didn't mean moms aren't special. They are especially to their chidren. I take good care of my children but as far as the rest of the world is concerned, I'm no more special than any other parent. Although I could bust a few moves on DWTS .

The fact that she chose to keep her baby and seems devoted to providing a good home (if silly name ) and a happy life should be applauded. Sara Palin isn't bright, but she seems to be devoted to and supportive of her children as well

Heck, truth be known, Bristol thinks she's an embarrassment too. Who hasn't been embarredded by their parents?.
