They're out there and they are wrong. But don't take my word for it. Just grab one the same way when you have the chance. The fish will teach you. . . and should it be a 30+ pounder so will the resulting doctor bills.

   Palehorse, friends and I, for many years went to Michigan and snagged salmon.  I have seen a lot of dead salmon and when you pick them up, I have seen sperm and eggs run out of them.

  Like you said, they are powerful fish.  I used light saltwater rod and reel with 40 pound test line.  As you know that the Chinook salmon run bigger than the coho in Lake Michigan.  The largest Chinook I ever caught was 28 pounds.  That same fish, as I was landing her, she started flopping and was coming off my hand.  Rather than loose her, I ran my thumb down in the corner of her mouth.  I have the scars on my thumb from 25 years ago.

   But that all went away and the fishermen, local business, tackle stores, Motels and restaurants all lost out, when a large corporation bought the politicians off.  Stopped the snagging and set up canneries up in the rivers.  Hiring seasonal workers at minimum wage, canning the salmon and sending it to Japan.  What a shame and waste.

Well, if nothing else the path the rupugs seem to be hell-bent on taking includes Princess Palin; and thusly they shall meet their doom again in 2012.

They're insisting upon showing their true colors in doing so too, and each time they distribute their current propaganda it just reinforces my current intention to never vote republican again. I hate racists, lying, and deceitful people; and that party insists on running those types up the flagpole regularly as of late. . .  (And they'll never get Princess Palin off that pole, as she continues to self service herself atop it!)

There is no accounting for the stupidity that runs rampant in this country, other than to point out how the lack of higher education is exemplified within it.

The lion's share of this world recognized very early on the value in educating its populace, while America and Americans in general wallowed about beneath the false sense of security it felt in its wealth of manufacturing.

Well, that blanket is now tattered and leaves us exposed to the world; ripe for the picking lest we do something about it.

who said that Palin is running?..............I haven't heard anything regarding that...........I hear more of Mitch Daniels name being mentioned than Palins....I will say this for Palin, she is raising money like nobody's business for the consrvative party....so, I say go girl!
