I'm sure you thought you were defending her intellect, but you really didn't.

I'm sure you think you're succeeding in making me believe she's an idiot but you're not.  From what I've seen out of Pelosi and some of the others they weren't as knowledgeable about things at Palin's age as Palin is. You are all listening to what you're told like good little sheeple though I'll give ya that.  What frosts me about all this Palin bashing is look how brilliant that poor excuse for a vice president is we have and no one is calling him an idiot.  I mean face it, he can't open his mouth with out saying something stupid. 

I just can't figure out why all the bashing of someone who is no threat and why keep harping on it. Why is it so much more important than any issues going on?  Where exactly does she come into play in all that is going on right now?

This picture clearly illustrates what I'm talking about here. Anyone, and I mean anyone, who fishes and knows what they are doing, knows you do not under any circumstance hold a fish as powerful as a salmon or lake trout, the way she's holding the fish in this picture. You get a firm grasp on the gill plate and jaw closest to you to hold the fish for a picture.

That way if the fish tries to swim away while you are holding it, all you have to do is hold it away from you with the hand/arm holding the gill plate. Doesn't hurt the fish and the fish can't slam you with a swipe of its tail. And you don't drop it back into the lake or onto the ground either.

It's not dead. . . you can see the stream coming out of the vent hole of the fish; a reflex reaction to stress. If it were a female she'd be spewing roe, but its not. . .

If it were caught "on the water" it would have been iced upon capture, being tossed straight into the box after de-hooking.

I fished fresh water salmon my entire life as a lad, both from shore and aboard watercraft in Lake Michigan and on it. I even fished them in the St Joe in Indiana and in Michigan. And once on the Kenai River in Alaska. One constant amongst all of the guides, friends, and captains I fished along side was the way they held the fish.

Alaska is thick with salmon and anyone who has fished for them any amount of time will instinctively hold the fish the way I previously described; dead or alive. I've got dozens of picture to prove it too. . .

You ought to schedule a spring charter out of Waukegan Illinois and spend a half day fishing chinook and coho salmon. By the end of that trip you'll have learned two things for sure; how powerful a salmon is and the proper way to hold one.

That idiot would be able to feed her family if push came to shove and she couldn't run to the local burger doodle or grocery store to get food.  I'd damn sure listen to her tell how to do that or tell about wild life or plant life on the Discovery channel than Pelosi or Boxer....Hell even Hillary for that matter.  Talk about idiots.....   Now they could tell you about the latest fashions or how which hair dresser and maybe Hillary could tell you how to put a slice of bread into a toaster but any further than that it ain't gonna happen.  I can just see one of them even cooking let alone hunting or gutting a deer or moose.

The only feeding of her family she's going to do is fetching the meat or fish from the freezer and maybe cooking it. She damned sure isn't going to go out and bag a caribou or moose and field dress it, butcher it, and prepare it. You count on her to be able to do that and you'll be taking the long dirt nap in short order! That whole story is nothing but just that, a story she uses to present a persona she thinks will get her more attention.

For the record, this isn't about politics at all. It's a feminist issue for me. She very publically represents my gender and I don't like her example. So, she hunts...I could respect that IF she had ever expressed fact based knowledge of ANYthing.

Anne - that's enough. The desire to take choices away from women and undereducate regarding safe sex makes her a poor role model for our future women.  She's SO unaware, ill-informed or just plain stupid that she told Katie Couric, in an interview, that gender equality has been achieved...I think she phrased it something like all of "feminism work" being complete.
