Eugene, Oregon - Along with being an analyst on NBC's Football Night in America, Dungy is enjoying being a fan.

Eyewitness Sports Director, Dave Calabro, went to Dungy's new turf in Oregon where he now has a special interest in college football.

Eugene, Oregon is Duck Country, where Tony Dungy and his family have really taken to the local scene, like Ducks take to water.

No Colts blue and white here. It's all about supporting their son, number 19 is freshman Eric Dungy.

They even bought a second home in this small town, where it has nothing to do with the family's last name.

"I think that's what Eric kind of sensed when he came out here to visit. He wasn't the coach of the Bucs son,or whatever, he was just another recruit from Florida and we feel the same way it's a small town atmosphere. Some people recognize you, but they aren't really into pro football here, they are into the Ducks," Tony Dungy said. "Just being one of the Duck dads, a Duck family has been great."

For the Dungy's this is pure joy, simple family fun, a time to bond and make memories.

Five years ago they suffered thru the tragic death of their oldest son James. Now, they embrace the present, watching Eric grow into a young man.

"Its pretty neat, I remember my dad coming to watch me play and just being that kind of proud papa and to get back into the college atmosphere is so much different than the NFL. The Bands, cheerleaders , students, it was special, but it is nice to just be able to blend in and just enjoy life," Dungy said.

Remember how Tony Dungy was on the sidelines when he was coaching the Colts? He was very calm. Well guess what? As a fan, he is also mellow yellow.

"I am pretty mellow most of the time watching, looking for the replays. I know the offense a little bit from Eric and him describing it to me," Dungy said. "So I kind of see what is going , but as much as I enjoy being a fan, there is still that coach in me I guess."

Just a few miles from the rowdy Oregon Stadium, the Dungy's enjoy their privacy in a modest home.

Dungy talks about being home a little more these days with his kids.

1-year-old Jason is the youngest of seven children. There is a picture of Jason being held by President Obama on a table. On the wall, drawings of the Dungy's children. They have adopted four.

"As a Christian, you always think we have to be pro-life and encourage women to not have abortions. When you profess that, then what are the alternatives what do you do to help when women do make that decision and that's what my wife hit me with and it made so much sense we have the ability to do it, " Dungy said.

He's a proud father, soaking up the moment, enjoying a new chapter of his life, far away from the bright lights of the NFL spotlight.

I have to say that Dungy, once again, seems to have got it right. Here is one Christian I actually admire!

LMAO!!  Vikings waive Randy Moss.

Report: Vikings waive Randy Moss
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on November 1, 2010 2:58 PM ET
Randy Moss' bizarre press conference Sunday night wound up being his farewell to the  Minnesota Vikings.  It's safe to say this time is for good.

NFL Network's Michael Lombardi reports that the Vikings waived Moss on Monday.  At his Monday press conference, Vikings coach Brad Childress mentioned that he allowed Moss to stay back in Boston for a few days before re-joining the team.  It looks like he can stay there.

We have no reason to believe the story is not true, but PFT can report via a league source that Moss is not yet aware that he's been released.

Moss would now be subject to leave waiver rules and could be claimed by any team.  (After the trade deadline, even veterans are subject to waivers.)  The Bills would have the first crack at him because they have the worst record.

Lombardi writes that Childress inform the Vikings in a team meeting that Moss was out.  Vikings linebacker Ben Leber has since confirmed the news.

Perhaps there was more to the story of Moss not returning with the team on Sunday night.  It's more likely that Moss' press conference frustrated Childress more than he let on.   The team saw the direction his lack of cooperation with the team was going.

Either way, two different teams have decided in the last month that Moss' declining production was no longer worth all the trouble of keeping him around.

At least the Patriots got a third-round pick out of it.

Just saw an interview with Coach Dungy on WTHR. I have to say the more I hear from Dungy, the more I read his books, the more I see of him, the more I admire him.

I once spoke to Jeff Saturday about him and he had nothing but staunch praise for him. No cameras, no lights, no audience, just a few moments of discussion between him and I and he couldn't say enough good things about him!

He is the only argument for leading a Christian life that I believe stands the test of credibility. While he may very well be the exception to that lifestyle, he is one credible exception as far as I am concerned.

He talks the talk and he walks it each and every day;publicly and privately. I am sure he is not perfect but in my mind he represents the best hope for Christianity on the planet this day! So much so that if he were to hold the position of pastor at a church near me I would go to that church each and every week!  :spooked:

I had a unique opportunity to meet him at an "Easter Breakfast" that our company hosted a few years back.  He was the keynote speaker.  I went up to talk to him after it was over, there was only a few people left, so I went for it...and he spoke to me like we was friends from the past.  I asked him about IF he ever got to know Walter Payton, and his eyes lit up, and he spoke to me for about 10 minutes, about his playing days against him and some personal time he spent with him....He told me that was the most refreshing question that anyone has asked him in a long time.  I saw him at another speaking function that I got to attend, and when I walked up to him and introduced my self, he said.."OH, yeah, the sweetness fan!!"...and shook my hand.  Palehorse, I agree with you he does talk the talk and he walks it each and every day;publicly and privately.  He is a really great guy.

I have met him a couple of times through my alma matter, which is the same way I met Jeff Saturday. I found both of these guys to be VERY credible and down to earth. My experiences are very similar to yours Hank. It also amazed me that in Dungy's case he remembered our conversation and me though a year or more had passed between!

I had a very positive impression of him and so when I met Saturday I asked him specifically if Coach Dungy is really the person his public persona projects, or if he is like everybody else. Saturday did not hesitate to say that with Dungy what you see is exactly what you get with him. He is not one to hide who and what he is and he is the same at work as he is at home. . .

I am also impressed by his honest support of pro life, even though I do not agree with it. He not only says he supports pro life views, but he lives it as well. In an interview I saw this week, he said that his wife is the one who pointed out the contradiction in their lives and their message where this is concerned. She said, "If we are telling women not to abort their pregnancies, then how are we providing the support necessary to allow them to do so?" The have adopted 4 children as result of that dialog. . . He said in the interview, I was astonished to find I had overlooked that aspect and we made a commitment to do what we could.

I hope society doesn't try to tear him down as they do almost everyone else. And I hope that if they do they fail miserably.

Austin Collie just got hurt after being rammed helmet to helmet by an Eagles player. It looks VERY serious and I have to say I am afraid for the young man!

There is a replay of the incident at the link above. Right now the only word I have heard is that he has a concussion. However, if you watch the replay you will see that Collie assumes a seizure like posture once he is hit. This could be career ending for this young man if it is that serious!  :spooked:

Eagles were penalized 15 yards for the hit because it was helmet to helmet contact of a defenseless player. . . Right or wrong, this young man may potentially be in very serious trouble! (Collie)  :spooked:

First of all, I hope and pray that Collie is okay and it is nothing too serious, secondly, I hope he can return to the Colts very soon.  Thirdly, I think that they hit he received should not have been penalized.  There is only so much a defender can do. It looked to me that there was not much he could have done to avoid the hit, the way Austin bounced around.  I think it was a manner of being hit in an awkward way that caused the problem.  There IS a certain risk involved in playing this game that everyone in the NFL is quite aware of.

What I did find as a classless act was the defender who was prouncing around the field with anger because of the call, while a motionless person was laying on the field.....and the Philly fans who was booing....the are on my official..."They Suck" list.

In fact I felt it was wrong to penalize them until:
