And, I heard Michael Savage is saying that a pilot hijacked the plane and the military jets really were chasing it. I don't know about this, but it all seems strange.
Guess they didn't know how to use Photoshop huh? Would have been much cheaper.
But that would be deceptive. Our government wouldn't try to deceive US, would they? :o

One thing is for sure that's where the persons was who thought that little stunt up.
Yeah but you've got to admit that the videos of all of the people running were pretty funny. I couldn't help but wonder if you don't know where the plane is going to come down or what it might hit, how do you know where to run from/to?
I live near Andrews AFB. Shoot! Y'all ain't seen no flyovers until you spend a day in my back yard during the air show.
Or the other day, when a little Cessna wandered a bit too close to restricted airspace .... it shook the house when them F18's went screaming over in full scramble mode with afterburners blazing!
I don't even pay them no mind anymore.

Sure I have...one day every year at the World Freefall Convention, the bring in a 727 for us to jump from and when it arrives the night before, the pilots make a pass to buzz the campground before they land. I'm sure it's not legal but it sure is fun!

first of all, you always got to make it personal....."people like you"....those people were scared because they have not forgotten what happened on 9/11...there was nothing irrational with these people thinking there COULD be another attack..especially when a 747 is flying at 1500 feet near ground zero....and you had the gall to say it was funny?...what an assbag!!...despite the fact you wore a uniform..that STILL sucks....and YOUR president's administration ORDERED this to happen, so they can do a photo op?...it amazes me that the people who are not even a little concerned about this.

That you can understand their letting fear overtake them is exactly why I said "people like you". Not that you can keep up but I'll say it again...assuming it was an attack but not having any way of knowing where the plane would come down or what it might hit, how does running help? How do you know that you're not running to exactly the place that will ultimately be the point of impact?

SOMEBODY, very close to the President HAD to know about this..........maybe not Obama personally...but at some point in time....somebody had to ask?..."are we going to go anywhere on the 27th?" ... and the question had to be asked...... "Why?" ....and SOMEBODY had to say, "well, we got the photo op thingy going on then"....
I just question.....Obama is acting ..... Pissed, but he knows all too well, SOMETHING about this or knows exactly WHO, set this up........and New Yorkers have EVERY right in the world to be as pissed as hell over this...

QuoteFederal officials knew that sending two fighter jets and a 747 from the presidential fleet to buzz ground zero and Lady Liberty might set off nightmarish fears of a 9/11 replay, but they still ordered the photo-op kept secret from the public.
In a memo obtained by CBS 2 HD, the Federal Aviation Administration's James Johnston said the agency was aware of "the possibility of public concern regarding DOD (Department of Defense) aircraft flying at low altitudes" in an around New York City. So, it filtered all of the way down to a clerk in the mayor's office but they weren't allowed to tell the public...pretty stupid. I wonder what the rationale was for not making a public announcement; possibly a security issue with someone trying to down the plane?
What ever the rational was it was just plain insensitive and stupid.

mcgonser, though I appreciate your act againt the vultures.... ;) ;D
I'm like a turtle with these guys...sometimes I just pull my head under my shell and let'em snip at me....then I sneak my head out and fire some more...
Henry! I'm shocked! A fine, upstanding, law-abiding citizen like you? Isn't it against the law to shoot at vultures?

can i have a do over?
Absolutely. So long as you promise to check your facts and provide your source.
Henry, you actually seem to be a thinking individual, willing to persuade (as opposed to just flinging poop with the other monkeys,) so please don't see this as an attack. It's just that I was brought up to weigh evidence, not emotion, when making decisions or judgments. I don't Truly Believe much of anything, but I'm willing to be persuaded to your viewpoint if you can back it up with (verifiable) facts. I did not intend to draw a target on your back. I just wanted the source of the Air Force One info.

You do occasionally pull your head out. But, I don't think it is from any kind of shell. Too fleshy.

Thanks LO. I appreciate that...and I sometimes will post something without assuring my thought with a source attached....I ususally will try to make it clear that it is MY opinion, when I do NOT have a fact based source to provide...but you are correct....I have been shot down, many of times with others posting a "fact based source"...and THAT is what makes this a good forum..for the most part.
