There's more snorting, sneezing, hacking, and wheezing going on here than in a local hospital!  :mad:

Dish TV is now representing themselves as Direct TV in a sneaky way to get customers.  Had 3 different sales people tell us this was an outdated dish, we have Direct TV, and they would send someone out to put a new one on.  Well, we signed up for what we thought was going to be the same thing with a new dish, just going to be an HD wireless box, and while talking to the installer hubby found out it was Dish Network he was to install.  The paperwork even had Direct TV for their logo, Dish Direct TV is how it's stated in the upper right corner.  Down in the fine print and what the rep checked, our fault for not checking good, was Dish Network.  Needless to say we canceled the order with a quickness having had Dish Network and being very dissatisfied with it.  This also makes twice they've lied to us, once the first time we got it and were told we'd get channels we didn't get and this time.   :mad: :rant:

If you have that paperwork I'd register a complaint with the State AG's office. That is against the law I am fairly certain. Deceptive marketing practices. At minimum, I'd call Direct TV and tell them what is going on. I am fairly certain they'll sic their corporate sharks on them.

I do think I'll call Direct TV since we've decided to go with the HD anyway.  We didn't have the new TV when we had it installed so we figured why bother.  I will definitely tell them what's going on and that 3 different people have tried and only one almost succeeded.
