That damn storm system that raped Moore Oklahoma yesterday afternoon is now bearing down on us. Tornado and severe t-storm watches are in effect and popping up all over central Indiana. It is now 1:17am and from what I hear from friends and relatives in Chicago, this system is still packing a hell of a punch.

It has become a squall line stretching from Oklahoma through extreme Southern Wisconsin, and the yellow and reds are growing.

We may be spending the upcoming Memorial Day weekend cleaning up the mess!  :spooked:

I'm sick of people flicking off validated and peer reviewed scientific data as if it were a fly on their shoulder, just because it disproves their own personal world-views; only to begin quoting pseudo-scientific data as if it is the gospel according to their gawd.

People have enough trouble with 4 way stops. I know roundabouts are statistically safer but some of these miscreants in this state have a hard time going straight!  :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

I drove into DC.......ONCE!  NEVER again, will I do this.  I will go back some day, but NOT driving there.

For the most part, I like the round-a-bouts.  There ARE some out there that are very tricky....like the one in Fishers off of Olio Rd.  THAT can be a pisser sometimes.

Wait until they get covered with snow and the city has to spend thousands of dollars in OT to have them cleared.

My guess is that they'll become choked with snow and ice and become traps. . .  :yes:

I can see that as a possiblity.  I think there are places for them, that make sense, but I think they ARE over-rated...and there are some doosies out there.
