One mis-statement in my previous post. The workers took a 10% wage reduction in 2004, 8 years ago, with no raises since.

As if a 25% stake in a company that has been insolvent for at minimum the last 10 years, represents any type of compensation toward retirement. That is a risk that is worse than the 401k scam most fortune 500 companies are now forcing upon their workforces surrounding retirement. . .

  It wasn't your job, it wasn't your lively hood, it was your trade, and you don't know a damn thing about went on at Hostess.  For one thing Hostess didn't had a product research and new product department.  Can you imagine that in this dog eat dog eat world, cut throat business environment.  No research department?  WTF!!!    The management sat back of their  big fat asses living on past dreams doing nothing to improve the company product.    You can't do these stupid thing in this modern cut throat world. 

  Then you dummies say, "The Teamsters were for it"  What in hell does a trucker know about baking, not a damn thing.    All they know it to eat the Twinkie and throw the wrapper out the window of the truck. 

  No, Hostess isn't going out of business.  If they do it will be in name only.    they are just trying to figure a way out to kill the union.  Nothing else SCABS.  It was their jobs, it was their votes and they will either reap or suffer on the vote they made, not yours.    You scabs don't have a dog in this fight, so shut the fuck up.    damn I hate SCABS.  Take your head out of your ass Henry and get a life, Cube Boy.

The teamsters was okay with the new contract.........the bakers union said no.

Now, 18,000 people are getting 100% cut in pay instead of 8%.

They had nothing anyway starting in 2004. They were bought by an investment firm, who I would be willing to bet pulled the "Bain" play on them; ran up a ton of debt, paid themselves, and for all intents a purposes left them to die the death they encountered this day. . .

They had no retirement plan, lost 10% of their income and an even larger percentage of what was left to the healthcare premiums that more than doubled. Effectively leaving them with no much more than minimum wages for take home pay after the 2004 debacle. THEN they want to take another 8% from them?

I'd venture to say that if it were you in their position you'd be squalling to heaven over it. And it may yet be you. Remember, those investment groups are just like wolves in the wild; they smell blood and they'll be upon you before you know it. . .

I now have the dubious task of trying to help my brother in law, who gave decades of his life to that company and is within 4 years of retirement age, file for unemployment for the first time in his life. What is he going to do? What are any of them going to do?

No computer skills, and most of them do not even own a computer. Unemployment requires them to apply to a minimum of three prospective employers each week in order to collect payment. How are they going to do this without a computer and with little to no prospects within the county in which they live?

The company is now controlled by a group of investment firms, including hedge funds Silver Point Capital and Monarch Alternative Capital.

You can spin this whole thing anyway you like, but the reality is that mismanagement and investment capital firms are the REAL reason this iconic American Company is now dead.

  The Japanese Government has put all US Troops on curfew.  The latest incident was caused by a drunk Marine who "Sneaked" in to a room through a unlock door and fell to sleep. 

  It seem that the Okinawans have a deep seated hate for the American base that is there.  Half of the American troops stationed in Japan, 150,000 are stationed there.  This is the same place where the Japs slaughter one hell of a lot of American troops.   

  These assholes are living high off of 75,000 American troops on that hell hole.  I say it time to remove all American troops from Japan and Okinawa and let them deal with China on their own.  We all know how the Japs treated the Chinese when they invaded China in 1938, throwing up Chinese babies into the air and catching them on their bayonets.    You know there is something to Karma.

  I don't think the Twinkie and the Ding Dong are gone.  I read that two beer companies are thinking about buying them.  They know something about running a business and something good to eat and drink.    

  The workers did the right thing, they put an end to these Wall Street thieves screwing with them.  When the French company to bought Miller Beer.  The union workers went right along with their good jobs and good pay.   

  But believe me when I say, if a scab company gets a hold of Hostess I will never eat another Twinkie or Ding Dong.  Henry can have all of the Ding Dongs.  The name and Henry sorta goes together.

  Pale Horse, what gets me is how two SCABS, "ME" and Henry would come in and open their god damn mouths about the union workers turning down a pile of shit for a labor contract.  But on top of this these stupid dumb asses knew nothing about what was going on at Hostess.  Not a god damn thing and they show their ignorance and just plain braindeadness. 

  But like all Republicans they want to stick their nose into everything that is not their business.  Like not letting blacks vote, not allowing people to form a union, taking women's rights to an abortion and the right to birth control.  Letting the Rich and the international corporations rule and control our America.  Plus letting the Far Right Wing Christians fuckers to run our lives,  run our bedrooms, our charity's and forcing our kids to pray in school, teach Creation and have religious teachers in our class rooms.  This is what the Republican Party and the Christian leaders and what the stupid Sheeple think they want.       Let us pray   preach for their Jesus to come down and create a perfect earth.   

  Oh course the perfect earth will be after the war between the their god and his angel Satan    And after our human blood has run bridal high on the horses in the Middle East.  Give me a break.
