Those stories have made national news.  It's being reported on the websites of both CNN and MSNBC.

Yep. Just saw one of the cases on CNN myself.

Great, now Indiana looks even more like a bunch of heartless, inept boobs!

We are living in a police state.

The stool pigeon that is the rat that is telling all of your secrets is your cell phone.  The little GPS that will tell the cops where your at when you use your cell phone  Over a million and a half requests by the police department is for cell phone calls, text messages and anything they can find.

The police will request for all of the calls from one cell tower they want.  They gather all of the information from everyone using that tower.  People they say they don't have an interest in.  What happens to all of this information the police departments have gathered.  Hummmmmmm?   It sounds like Russia under communist rule.

I now have large swaths of my lawn that are undoubtedly dead. I will have to reseed next spring in order to have grass to mow. . . All that $$ I spent on sod down the tubes.

If we didn't have to pay 8 cents a gallon for water I probably would have watered enough to save it. But getting 900 - 1400 dollar water bills is not a viable option!

The sod may actually come back if we ever get water but either way, the time to reseed is in September to allow the grass to get established and grow a strong root system during the winter.  My lawn is fairly old so I had already planned to core-aerate then slit-seed in the fall so the drought really only saves me from having to mow a yard that needed some help anyway.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

I have been told the good lawn grasses like fescue and blue grass is dormant and will return if it gets some water.  What I am worried about is not getting any snow or rain this winter.  Some weather experts say our winter may like the one we had last winter.

I sure hope it doesn't get like Kansas did in the 30's.  The dust bowl.   :tweed:

If you knew we would get at least 3in of snow cover at some point the easiest and best way I've found is to throw the seed on top of the snow cover and the grass comes up real nice in the spring all ready to mow.  A lot of this particular yard had never really had grass to speak of because it was shaded and I used sun and shade seed.  Ended up with a beautiful yard full of grass.

That's one of the reasons I like Fescue mixtures.   It make a beautiful and durable lawn.  I had Blue Grass for awhile.  Kissed it's little butt every week with food, water, hand weeded it and it looked real good for a short time.  But, come along a few pest, dry spell and it will turn it's heels up, turn brown and die in spots.

No more Blue Grass for me.

ANDERSON, Ind. — The motorcyclist from the accident on Broadway Monday night has died, according to Anderson Police Spokesman Detective Joel Sandefur.

William Richards, 60, of Anderson, was transported from Community Hospital to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Sandefur said, after he was struck by a U-Haul truck at the intersection of Broadway and Grand Avenue, outside of Frisch's Big Boy restaurant.

Police said preliminary reports indicated Richards was stopped at the light, northbound on Broadway, when the southbound U-Haul crossed over the line and struck him.

Dispatch received the call at 8:44 p.m.

Four people were in the U-Haul truck, including two minors, and the adult passenger was ejected and taken to Community with non-life threatening injuries.

Another brother down due to the stupidity of another driver.

The guy was on a canary yellow HD, it was still daylight, and he was stopped at the light outside Frische's Big-Boy. This stupid woman driving a U Haul crossed the centerline and ran him over! (HE DIED THIS MORNING AT METHODIST)

The commentary at the Parrot Bulletin seems to indicate the woman driving the U Haul was drunk, but there is nothing in the story that says that.

He was hit so hard that a witness said he bounced off the pedestrian light and hit a utility pole, bringing the pole down. The U Haul also hit another pole and brought it down, cutting electricity to Big Boy and sending a live wire onto the roadway.

This is the second MC accident in this city in the last 10 days. . .

This is one of the main reason I got rid of my motorcycle.  These car drivers will run over you and say, "I'm sorry, I didn't see you.  :trustme:
