Didn't you take those same deductions when you were younger? Why shouldn't he take them?

My old 130 year house only cost $12,500 on contract.  Didn't get to deduct any thing for several years.  He got probably over $100,000 in his.  I quite sure you take yours on your house and your over $100,000 property.

Anne

How much would your house cost now? Didn't you take deductions for your business expenses? You say you are for the "little" guy but you don't want anyone who doesn't walk in lockstep with you to live a decent life.

Sure I took my business deductions, if you were any kind of a business woman, you did to.  That's what businesses do.  I have no problem with deduction business expenses.  But I never took a whole group of people to a big fancy dinning club and take it off my taxes.  I didn't buy a lobbyist.  I didn't pay for some big vacation for politician.  Hell, I couldn't even deduct my telephone cost.

Just who am I asking to walk in lockstep with me.  My problem is you people who want the super rich to rule us like a kingdom and buy the Republican politicians to give them all of the breaks.  I want the middle class to have some breaks too.  You can tell that the powers that be are really scared of OWS.  Look at the police brutality they let the cops do.   :police:

My house sure isn't worth over a $100,000 like yours.  Hell, I could run my lawn mower for a year for what you use in gasoline on one week of mowing.  It must be real nice to be so well off that you can look down your nose at everybody else.  But, then and again that's what Republicans do.

Reading all of the "important news of the day"  Billy Graham 93 years old in hospital because he's sick.  If I believe in God and heaven like he does, I'd give up and go.  I wouldn't waste my time going to the hospital.  :preach:

Well, until you see my house don't assume it is worth $100,000 dollars, it is 60 years old and not in a fancy neighborhood. I did take my business deductions. I am talking about people who don't want anyone to work unless they belong to a union and if they are not a democrat to not be able to take legal deductions on their income taxes. Everyone pays school taxes if they own property in Indiana so you aren't alone there.

Being a Scab as you are.  There are union shops and nonunion shops.  Take your pick.  But if you choose to work in a union shop be expected to pay union dues.  You don't have to join the union even tho you work in a union shop.  But if you are going to receive union benefits, like pensions, health care, and the other things union members get, YOU WILL PAY UNION DUES.

But I know you as a scab want  to suck the life out of the unions so they will disappear.  Do you think your old white collar old man would have made the money, benefits he got if it wasn't for the UAW.  You don't know shit about the union an what good they do for their members.  Just a plain dumb ass.      You see where all of the benefits went when GM filed bankruptcy.  The salary now get their pension checks from the government.  GM dropped the salary people like a rock, but the UAW had a contract.  WE WIN, SALARY DIDN'T.

Are you saying your husband didn't work for GM.  You showed the pictures of your house and the rich insides and all of the grass and land you had around it.  When you bought it before the real estate fiasco it was worth more than a 100 grand.  $$$$$$$$$

You probably paid cash for it and probably got it for a reduced price for the cash.  That property you had on the bypass should have went for a real good price.   That old saying, you have to be in the right place at the right time.  The bypass was the place to be.       But for someone to be so antiunion after all of the benefits the union got for you is sickening.

Anne

Got the wrong person, Troll. Yes my husband worked for GM, as a pipefitter, not salary. The only picture I ever posted here was one of my puppy. Oh, and I live in the same neighborhood that your wife's aunt and uncle did before they moved about three or four years ago. We have lived in the same house for 40 years.

So you husband was an hourly worker, Pipefitter.  So was I, your husband was a skilled tradesman are you telling me he is a scab and antiunion.

I hope you're enjoying you're husband union pension and benefits.  I guess you like to chew on the hand that help feed you.  :finger2:

You have no idea what you are talking about. Your poor old brain is confusing you, mixing up what people say and who says what.

I may have mixed you up with someones aunt.  But why do you take such an antiunion stand.  "Making people join a union" isn't that what you said.  Hummmmm.

Anne

I haven't said much about unions one way or the other because I see both sides of it. My father and father in law were salary and my husband and mother were hourly. I don't think a company should be forced to unions by the government or be forced to locate in one state over another because one is a right to work state. I think the unions were a good thing but they can also be "overbearing". If they have good leadership they can help a company succeed or they can break a company with bad leadership.

Yes, we enjoy the pension and supplemental insurance we have from his work at GM. I don't know who said it if it was you or someone else but it was Delphi not GM that dropped the salary pensions, GM salary retirees still get their pensions from GM but they did drop their BC/BS coverage when they turned 65 but gave them a $300 a month increase in their pensions to pay for supplemental insurance, at least that is what my cousins tell me.

There is no reason to try to explain how a large corporation of a union works to a person who never belong or paid union dues.

Yes  it always the union that takes advantage of a large corporation.  The corporations just don't have anyone, like lawyers looking out for their interest.  Those poor CEOs who don't have union protection always come out on the short end of a contract with the union workers.

Any government city, county, state or federal doesn't make any company to have a union, the workers vote to have a union.   Unions can't make a worker join a union.  Why should any government pass a law doing a way with unions, like right to work laws, which is a farce.  Tell me what is wrong with, if a worker is receiving union pay, why shouldn't he pay the union it's due.  Fair is fair.

Henry Hawk

Under right to work laws, the workers are protected from being fired for not paying union dues...also under union contract you HAVE to pay 1 percent to 2 percent of your wages in dues whether or not you support the union..then, they (the union) uses that money to support certain government officials who then continue to give them the power....it is unethical and wrong...it reeks of corruption.
