  I wonder about the million men and woman who are losing their unemployment checks.  The only money they have, who are BROKE and are now going to become homeless and starving.  How many of these people are going to be feed or housed by your church, Henry.

They could always put those who have reached their extension limit to work doing something for the government like they used to for getting help from the trustee.

Troll, you bring up another sticky issue that I have, and not to rob this one, but I agree with part of what you said....at ONE time, the 'Church' WAS the place of shelter for the homeless and starving.....neighborhood churches USED to be at the forefront of rescuing those who needed help in their community....in many ways they have abandond this whole concept.....today's church, for the most part has become nothing more than a "country club" for Christian snobs...Don't get me wrong, I still know for a fact that many, many, churches today STILL reach out to those who need help......Our church spent many years working in a local "food kitchen" for those who needed meals, with no strings attached....

Troll, I don't know what the answer is....of course it was my belief IF we would have suspended the capital gains tax for one year, we would NOT have been in this mess we are in now.....we GOT to let the private sector (american entreprenuers) do their thing...let them expand their business, it has got to be a grass roots thing, to truly stimulate this country...

I know I could be a heart beat away from joining those 14 million folks....we cannot keep on producing MORE money out of thin air....it has got to stop....as God as my witness, I hope and pray that this country begins a turn around very soon, even if it means I got to eat crow and say that Obama and the dems was right...I don't think they are though...but, things has got to change soon.

  Look at all of the past years, we never had it this bad.  And it was the way the country was set up by Ronald Reagan and Newt Gingrich and his contract for (rich) America.  It took all of the years to come true, the Republicans set up and destroyed our way of life.  There is no welfare for a man in his 50's.  His wife and kid might get a tiny little bit, but he won't get any.
