PH,  life can be a real bitch,  yesterday, we receive a phone call from a doctor at Ball Memorial in Muncie.  We knew my wife's brother had fallen.  He had been having a real bad time for the last year from a donated kidney that was rejected.  He had been going through dialysis three times a week.  He looked like hell after each one.

Well, he had a broken femur, but what the real bad news was, he was bleeding on both sides of his brain.  Even tho they could save his life, he would not be himself and most likely spend the rest of his days in a nurse home.  He is 68 years old.

My wife who has his power of attorney and had his "LIVING WILL"  No resuscitation and no tubes.  She told the doctor to follow his wishes.  The doctor said, "we will keep him comfortable."  It really broke her heart.

He was just like me, NO NURSING HOMES!   So you people out there, who havn't got your LIVING WILLS, better get with it.  Things can go bad so quick.

Troll.
If that was your brother-in-law in the paper this morning, please accept my condolences on your loss. He was a nephew and cousin of three good friends. Keeping you all in my thoughts.. Anne

Thank you Anne,  it was Ron.  A good neighbor found that he fell from the top of his stairs going in to his house which was about 8 ft., landing on the back of his head.  Causing a brain bleed.

I must say that the hospital and his doctor let him go very peaceably.  Thank you.

How much shit can life deal to a young child?!

My granddaughter has lost TWO very close friends within the last 3 weeks. One (her best friend) hung herself and the other was just killed a little bit ago in a motorcycle wreck.

Isn't it bad enough that society is forcing our children to grow up faster, without life bitch slapping them with adult experiences at such an early age?

I responded to this once but I have reason to come back to it today.  20 lost another friend last night.  The worst of it was that up until 10pm she was text messaging him, and had been all day long.  Then she gets a phone call this morning from the boys girlfriend telling her that he was killed in a car accident.  She called me crying....wanting to know why everyone that dies is a friend of hers.  I didn't know what to say. :(

Locutus

I just opened my vehicle registration renewal from the State of Florida today and the cost of the renewal is DOUBLE what it was last year.

My grandson got his license last month and when my son went to get him insured it was twice what they had told him it would be. He lives in FL, too. It seems like everything is pretty expensive in FL, except housing right now, I guess they have to make up not having an income tax some way?

And just how bad was it for how new of a vehicle.  Indiana has always been pretty salty due tot he excise tax, so it's hard to sympathise with others.
