Vents: Random Acts of Venting!

Lord, I hope not. A couple years ago, we took our canoes and put in just below Claytor Dam with the intention of a float down to Radford University. My brother, who planned the event, forgot to scout for rapids. We ended up shooting some nasty stretches of rapids in the canoe.

Now I'm 6'4" and, at the time, close to 230. My brother was about 6'7" and 260. Needless to say, that canoe was a bit top heavy and we took a couple of dips in the river.

That was the last time I was in a boat with my brother. He passed away this February.

That's too bad.  Whitewater rafting, when it's planned and with a group, is quite fun.  I can understand why your experience was harrowing though.  If you get a chance, take some pictures and post them.  Some of us will have to live vicariously through you.

I've run the Colorado through the Grand Canyon, but never the New. Been there though, and it is beautiful country to say the least.

My post followed Troll's but I was actually speaking to everyone, that I encounter on a daily basis (forum, work, socially) who slaughter basic English.

Most everyone gets lazy, on occasion, but I think it's obvious that some really don't know about grammar and don't care.
