I think what you mean is that none of them like being of the colored persuasion.   Personally, I would like to go a few shades darker.  Within the limits that I have while being a Caucasian.

Let's change the subject.

Uncomfortable?

Hell, I couldn't give a rats behind what anyone else thinks I look like. I am old enough to be resigned to accepting I "yam what I yam"!

Corporate Amerika (that's right I spelled it with a "k") apparently has the right to stomp all over our constitutional rights without fear of reprisal. . .

Just saw this one. Does this mean the lawyers decided you don't have a case?  File it anyway. File an age discrimination and retaliation case with the Indiana Human Rights Commission and the EEOC. It doesn't cost you a dime, but the company will have to respond with pages and pages of info. Just for starters they will have to provide names, contact info, and circumstances of termination on anyone terminated within six months of your own perp walk. Now, didn't you say something about 1100 or so people being let go? Your odds of collecting are slim, but the nuisance value is priceless!

The age discrimination thing is just a hook to hang the retaliation charge on. Ya gotta have something that relates to a Title VII or ADEA protected class. Unless you are a member of some minority ethnic group. In that case, scrap the age discrimination and file it as racial discrimination and retaliation.

And you have a mate. It might actually matter in my case.

Maybe he could use discrimination of a Native American as his reason.

Hey. I have to go with the opinion of the pros on this one. Besides, stirring up bad karma only brings it back the stirrers way eventually. If I have to suck it up and take one for the team I will do so; and take solace in the knowledge that one day that BS they slung my way will return to them ten fold. And on that day I will do my happy dance, utter to myself "serves yah right yah bastards" and keep moving forward.

I detest individuals that lie, and I won't do so to provide myself with a moment of revenge. I also detest those who utilize their heritage as a lever with which to achieve some measure of revenge. To me it sullies the reputation and good name of every ancestor that has lived, and I will not do that either.

If I have a legal claim I will exercise it. If not then I am just SOL.

I stand by my article, its contents, and the pure purpose and intention I drew upon in writing it. It gave the 158 other individuals that I worked with a voice, ( in their judgment), and it brought them some measure of satisfaction. No matter what it cost me financially, I have retained 10 times that amount in good karma. And the recognition and respect it brought to me from them is worth far more to me than their corporate welfare check. That the company used it for impure purposes only proves they will deserve their eventual fate. (Fuggers) < Hey I can vent can't I?

You are just no fun in the stick it to 'em department.  What's the heritage of a Native American?  I didn't say Indian, now did I?  The first American's fought for their rights.  That's all I'm saying.  And since I figure you are born here, since it has become America, then you are a Native American.  There's not really any heritage to sully there, we've been sticking it to each other since it all began.

Personally, I think, karma never comes around fast enough for real assholes.

I sent you a private response to the first part.
I thought you knew what is in it about me, but guess I was mistaken.

I agree, the term Native American should refer to those among us that are born here, and not to the various tribes that were slaughtered at the hands of greed and the malice of government.

Karma returns when it is due and not a moment before. While nice to see it happen and revel in another's self generated misery, I do not have to see it because I already know it is coming to them. And that is enough for me. Most times. Sometimes Karma hands you the opportunity to be the deliverer, but I do not seek it out or expect it. It is rare and doing so only detracts from the sense of irony if the situation comes to pass.
