Sometimes it isn't worth the effort. . .

Exactly.  Why waste your time?

sure it is....what else do I have to do? I make them sit out on the sidewalk in front of everyone, in their little suits.
Looks like I've come full circle.

I guess I can understand that somewhat. I did the same thing to the first guy yesterday.  :icon_twisted:

I used to ask them to return on Wednesday night at 10:30. That is when the coven meets, and I know we would all just love to explore the depths of their devotion, and how long it can hold up under pressure. We have the "burning years" just screaming for payback.

They skip my house now, for some reason. There must be an impressive jungle telegraph operating among those groups who send people door-to-door to "witness" and collect a little coin.

Careful. They'll legislate witch burning back into law if we are not careful!  :spooked:

Razor wire, mines, and rabid animals patrolling the perimeter then?

It isn't the ones that come to your front door that bother me, anymore.  Its the ones using the History Channel, History Channel International, PBS (local affiliates) etc, that get into your home without a knock.  Those channels are promoting religion, especially christianity, by holding it all up as legit, historical fact, real events, etc.

Just like not answering the knock...you have the option of not turning to those channels.  When you leave it on the channel, you have invited them in.

answer , tell them you are glad they are here.  take them to the garage, hand them the gas can for the lawn mower, roll it onto the driveway, then go back inside and shut the door.

Red meat is not bad for you, fuzzy green meat is bad for you.

hand them the gas can ...
Since Palehorse pointed out the possibility they would resume an old hobby, I don't think I am likely to hand them a gas can. A paint brush, now ... that has possibilities. Thanks for the idea, Elaine.

Sure, if you want to see "Jesus Saves" scrawled all over your house.

(And I'm just being mean, those door to door church folks don't really bother me.)

Or maybe, "Moses Invests!"

Of course, I can turn it off.  That isn't the point.  The fact that they are lying to a whole generation of smart kids that watch such channels and assume they are getting "historical" data.  The dishonesty of it is the problem, not the nuisance of their presence.
