Same here.  Kids are always wanting to help me in the kitchen.  If I don't ask for the help, I don't need it. I can do it faster myself than if I have to stand there and watch you do it, and explain to you how I want it done. If you want to learn how to do it.  Watch me a hundred times from 10 feet away, by then you should know how to do it and IF I need your help, I won't have to supervise. ;)

I have a totally different philosophy on that. There've been times that the kids offer to help and I inwardly groan and think, "I just want to get this done and get out of here", but I don't. If I'm truly not pressed for time then I let them help and explain things as we go. For Lil' Mojo, that's been a blessing because she's 10 and has her own lasagna recipe that's really good, she can cook small things for herself (safely) and the best of all...she knows to clean as she cooks so there's never a mess.

Only the ones that follow threads I post in on that other forum.  Palehorse knows what I'm talking about.  I posted something I thought was amusing and used pictures to illustrate who I was referring to....my myspace friend, his sometimes girlfriend and myself.  The result being someone saying I was an old hag with fugly hair.   I know I'm older, I know I sometimes have hair issues, but a hag and fugly I don't think so.  But then again what do I know. I don't see me the same way others do.
That is awful !!! I think you're pretty. Some people just have to shit on everything!!!  That person must have NO self esteem at all, and is obviously jealous. I hate people like that.  Their life must be in the shitter, to have to act like that. Man, it sucks to be them LMAO!!!

That particular poster seems to ONLY exist to give me grief.   I don't actually let it bother me, I just can't believe how someone can actually enjoy being that hateful and idiotic.  Secretly...and I'm probably wrong, I think it's the newer wife of the old husband.
Sounds like it is her.

I'm going to have to check Omni's recent posts.   I vaguely remember something about it.

And you don't know newer wife.  She's psycho.  I don't know if I related the incident that was witnessed by 4 of my kids last halloween. One of them being 26, and she stood right there and watched the whole thing, as a witness so that the psycho couldn't call the police and lie.  She got knocked onto the floor when he opened a door she had slammed in his face.....by the door.  She sat there on the floor and started screaming at him to keep his hands off of her, don't hit her...and according to my daughter just went on and on.  Now my kids know there's not a wife beating bone in his body....but she goes out of her way to make other people look like something they aren't.  So anything that she might say or do....does not surprise me.    As well, she's more manly than womanly. :spooked:
She sounds like a total NUT!!!  :spooked:

Just before school got out, he called me up and we had a conversation, that started with him hitting on me, and my telling him no way, he's married.  That led to a 20 minute conversation about him and her.  He admitted that many times he's asked himself what he's gotten himself into.  I don't think he will come out and admit it, but he isn't at all happy with the choice he made.   I will be respectful of him (though I don't have a real reason why I should) and not go into anything he said about her, but trust me I got an ear full, more than I wanted to know about her, and more than a loving husband should share.

And for the time being he's choosing to live with that decision.   Personally, if it was me, I would be out of it before it got me any deeper.  I still can't get over the debt he's got after just under a year and a half with her.  Took us 20 years to have a $45,000 debt, I can't imagine what it's like to have over $90,000 this quickly.  And that doesn't even include the day to day bills.  I'm laughing all the way to the bank some days. LOL   Even my personal debt is under $30,000.

I remember, and I'm keeping my mouth shut.  Just minding my own business.  Trying to anyway, it's not always easy when people (especially him) keep me informed whether I want to hear it or not. LOL

He'll still have the debt. but at least he can split half of some of it with her.   He's stuck with the house mortgage, that he used to pay off her truck, only about 6 weeks after they were married.  She would get to walk away only owing  about $22,000.

My mom asked me the other day if I would take him back, I told her that he can keep his house and debt.  I'll keep mine. ;)

I agree, you don't need all of that extra baggage.

Mr442

Had a close one last evening.  While driving north on US41 in Rockville, IN, some SOB in a high dollar Japanese car with Florida plates tries pulling out in front of me from a restaurant.  I see him just in time and lay on the brakes and horn, stopping inches from his still moving car.  He finally got it stopped and realized what he had done.  I nicely(?) gestured for him to back that POS out of my way.  He was rather flustered and had to look down to find the shifter and put it in reverse.  Surprisingly, he looked to be about 30 - 40, definitely not some old geezer as you would expect.

Good thing I was paying attention and driving below the speed limit, or there would have been two bent up cars, and he would have had a busted nose.

If you thought he had baggage a few days ago, he's got a whole new suitcase now.  If he wants out, he's going to have to consider it really fast, or wait another 18 years. She's just announced that she's pregnant.
