Thanks Pari! Much better. There was a lot going on that day. I'm pretty sure everyone knows who I am (and am not), but they try to pull that out of a hat when they've got nothing else.

It's all good.

Although I've been playing with the idea of becoming Sandy Eggo across the board. I like having one name and that one makes me laugh.

Amen sistah, preach it on! The honeymoon is over with my new job. Friggin morons must think those of us working the vampire hours can read minds. . . I absolutely detest stuff being dropped onto my lap at the very last minute when I am trying to get my paperwork filed and head back to the barn. Especially when it is something I could have easily achieved during the previous 12.5 hours I was here. . . And they wonder why the folks on the overnight shifts get cranky. . .

My students have worked day after day to get everything they need before the state exams.  They took them the 12 - 14 of this month.  Last week we finished up some left over academic stuff.  This week and the two days we have to come next is reserved for fluff!  This is an unwritten rule but pretty much everyone in grades 3 - 5 do it.  The younger grades have parties, watch movies, and fluff off throughout the year.  I reserve all of that until now.

YESTERDAY our fairly new AP comes in around 12:30.  I'm working on the school writing plan at my computer and my kids are watching a movie.  She looks at me like "What are you doing?"  She said "Isn't your math time at 12:30?"  Huh?  Yeah it was BEFORE the EOG.  She wanted to observe me.  Are you freaking kidding me?  Could you not have come before the state exam when I was still TEACHING?  So she came back in at the end of the day and I had my kids doing a MadLibs.  It was fun and they were doing grammar work.

If there is ANYTHING negative in that report, I'm taking it to the principal.  Her daughter is in my room and knows full well that this is the time to relax and have fun and that I have a billion things to do with my Writing committee chair and Grade chair positions.

I got my write up.  It wasn't negative but it wasn't stellar either.  I'm used to stellar!  I have a feeling it really wasn't her fault.  Our principal just retired and I have a feeling he was supposed to do the observation and never did.  Still, did she have to stay the whole time?

This morning they had a meeting at my husband's job. As we all know times are BAD. Well, his company laid off 6 workers, or should I say.... terminated them with options.  Hubby didn't get the axe this time, but he's number 12, so if they do it again, we are soooo screwed it's unreal.  They have options......

1. they can leave and take a $3000.00 severance package

2. they can go on an on call duty (there are no set hours, and no guaranteed hours) so that's almost as bad as option 1.

3. They can transfer to another state.

Hubby has decided (without discussing this with me) that if it comes to it, we will be choosing option 3. 

If we have to move I will be giving up everything I've ever wanted.

My dream home (ok, it's a hundred year old farm house and in no way great) but I LOVE IT HERE!!!!

I wont be able to take my cats!!! (I might as well be dead).

And I'll be leaving my crappy job ,that I've been at for 5 years, and have excelled at. I can handle it physically, and mentally, and that is an extreme plus. I used to not be able to hold a job, because of severe depression.

None of this is set in stone. But for some reason, I feel like somebody jerked the rug (my life) right out from under me LMAO!!!! For some reason crap like this happens to me A LOT.

Me too. I don't want to have to move again. I thought this place was where I was gonna put down roots. I've moved soooo many times in my life. I don't think I can do it again.
