No biggie Pariann. I have a full upper denture, and only half of my real ones on the bottom. A toothless grin is better than no grin in my opinion.

how true Dexter......I can't wear my dentures because they don't fit right and I can't afford new ones.  I don't smile a lot because of it, but the lack of teeth does not mean that I never smile.  I am me...I am who I am...and people don't like me without teeth....they aren't gonna like me any better with teeth.  Just like being fat....I am fat...and if they don't like me because of it....so be it.  They could have just met their best friend and because I am not a skinny minnie, they don't like me. people today are so caught up in appearance and what someone looks like...they need to stop and actually get to know the person before they make any decisions.

Amen to that smokeykat!!! Hell, I'm fat, I accept it and have NO problem with it. A lot of women I know, are continually trying to lose weight,and they're never satisfied with their appearance. They spend all of their time, and money, on trying to be tan and skinny. I've got waaay too much to do, then to worry about my appearance. I do wear makeup, but I do cut my own hair. OK, so it's a Mullet from the 80's!!! Whoopee Dingy!!!  It looks OK. People who judge somebody's worth by their appearance, are missing out on some good friends. Most of the people that judge, aren't worth having as friends IMO.

But we were talking about making tips here...not making friends.  There are going to be people who will come in and make assessments based on appearance, and then never come in again, because they were just passing by on the interstate and decided it was time to eat.

My point was, I don't smile a lot.  I also told the manager this....that I don't, and I'm not even aware that I don't and if they want that...they will have to remind me that I've not been smiling. He said he didn't really care as long as I was friendly and got the job done. LOL

If your lips don't smile then your eyes do. People notice that whether they're conscious of it or not. (I think)

I know if I'm kidding and have a dead serious straight face, my eyes give me away. I don't think that absence of upturned lips can hide sincere friendliness.

I'm not so sure, I've had a lot of people say I look mean.  And most of my girls friends are afraid of me. LOL, I don't know why they would be afraid of me, I've only ever gotten after one of them with the Ugly Stick.

And speaking of Phones......

Last June we switched from the OLD AT&T to the NEW AT&T to take advantage of DSL.  We paid our final bill and all was well, for a while.  Then I started getting a bill from the OLD AT&T for a $15 reconnection fee for our long distance service.  WTF??????

The wife has called a few times and now it was my turn.  I called the customer disservice number and spoke with "William Andrews" who sounded like Dr. Punjab to me.  He kept talking in circles about how I owed money for service restoration in August with the old AT&T.  He even got snippy at one point when I asked him how they could restore service that I had cancelled in June.  I finally asked him where he was located and he would not tell me.  So I told him that until I could speak with someone from America I was done with their bill and hung up.

I called back to go through the menu to get the e-mail address and got the automated run-around there as well.  I then started hitting the operator button and heard it say that was the wrong choice, but what did it know?  I ended up connected to an American who was very helpful in deleting a charge that should not have been there. 

We will see how it goes from here.


I am so F'ing tired of calling halfway across the world for something here.  Not only that, they insult my intelligence by giving Haji and Punjab American sounding names to use, that they can hardly pronounce themselves.

WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD ANYBODY WANT TO TRY A SLOW DSL LINE OVER CABLE'S BROADBAND? IT'S THE FASTEST AROUND AND I COULDN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT.

LOL!!! People are intimidated by my size. I'm 5'8 and 250lbs. I wear a size 11 shoe.  My goofy grin usually puts them at ease.
