It's usually a responsbility that no one else would want or have time for b/c they have bigger fish to fry.

Anytime I have used my auto insurance it is b/c some uninsured twit in a piece of shit hit my high end suv. So, I am actually taking responsibility for another person who should have a huge "L" stamped on their forehead.

I've been paying car insurance for over 30 years and have never been involved in an accident.

BTW, I don't think she is going to lose her job b/c people are paying their bills on time.

I don't think you got the gist of what I was saying.  There would be no insurance companies if people would take the responsibility of paying out of their own pockets, so there would be no bills to pay on time to an insurance company because they would not exist.

I don't think you got the gist of what I was saying.  There would be no insurance companies if people would take the responsibility of paying out of their own pockets, so there would be no bills to pay on time to an insurance company because they would not exist. 

I see it differently. I have every single insurance that is available. I think it is responsible and planning ahead in case the worse happens. i.e. You injure someone in excess of $100,000. Pay that outa ya pocket !!
