I can't believe people are rejoicing the reopening of the Superdome in New Orleans for the Saints homeopener when there are still neighborhoods in New Orleans that are still in the same untouched condition as they were shortly after Katrina struck and the levees broke...well, actually the condition is a lot worse since the debris has had over a year to ripen and decay.

And, what upsets me is that one of the reasons why there are still neighborhoods untouched is because of the lack of manpower...yet there was no lack of round the clock manpower to clean and renovate the Superdome to get in shape for Monday night's opener.

Am I wrong to think that the cleaning of the neighborhoods should have held precedent over the cleaning and renovating of the Superdome?

Why does everybody race to the end of the merge lane when it clearly says "merge 1 mile"....instead of merging immedialtly you always have the   who thinks they are better than everybody else and rushes to the very end and expect everybody else to slam and slow way down to let them in......

They need to just drive on the DC beltway one time. You can't even change lanes there. The game is if you put on your signal then everyone rushes to fill in any possible hole that would allow you to move over. As for merging from a closed down lane, you better be on your toes because if you wait til you get to the end, you might as well shut your car off, climb the embankment and go to Mickey D's for a Big Mac and wait for the traffic to let up. Like about 3 am.

Their top priority seems to be tourism. As evidenced by this and the renovation of the French Quarter. Now, they just have to find a way to keep those tourists from seeing the devastation where people actually live that still exists.

Will someone please tell me why people talk on cell phones while they weave down the street?????
GRrrrrrrrRRRRRrrrrrrr
I like to yell, "LOOK OUT" and blow my horn at them.  Just because.

Then I look at the people in the car beside me like they did it.

I am in it for the fun, not the ass whuppin.

Why does it always seem that the world is full of jack-asses?!

Our firm is having a "silent auction" to benefit the United Way. Among the items is a mounted/framed print of Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer, and Jack N., teeing off together. It is apparent in their faces that it represents a passing of the guard.

Our supervisor is a big golfer and each year we struggle to obtain a gift for him, and it appears we can obtain this print as an xmas gift for the reserve bid of 125 bucks. (17 bucks each). ONE individual is declining due to sour grapes or being a scrooge.

No wonder he has obtained the unofficial title of "the punisher". He's a real jerk let me tellyah!

I agree PH, even if he doesn't like your supervisor (guessing), then it still benefits a charity. geez.

You know, that is exactly how my suggestion was written within the e-mail I sent out. Everyone thought it was an excellent idea except him, (but the condition was everyone had to agree). I mean come on, put your blasted petty self-serving BS aside, open your heart, and give for cripes sake!

I'm not a fan of the United Way (comes from coercive giving where I taught), but he really deserves a cuff on the back of the head.

Please send this on to him for me. Thank you for your support.

Our firm used to utilize pressure tactics to get folks to give, but now it is 100% voluntary but with managerial sales pitches required. (Hence I have already conducted several "pitches" myself). We use the silent auction as a means to lure folks into bidding on popular items (Ipods, HD TV's etc). The problem is, by "giving" this way they don't receive a write off. . .

I encourage folks to give soemthing, even if it only a buck, via payroll deduction. That way they get a tax write off. . . And we can designate how the funds are to be used, by country etc.

I'd liek to reach out and pimp slap this guy myself. . . He's such a jackass; but at least he is consistent in his jackass-dom.

Why is it I pay almost 60 dollars a month for cable TV service and the only thing on practically all the stations late at night or early into the morning are fuckin' infomercials? Ever try to find a show on Sunday mornings other than infomercials? I'm sick of the crap!
