In all honesty, I can't believe they kept Archuleta and dismissed Smithson. He annoys me.

David A. never moves the whole time he is singing.  He stands basically in one spot and that's it.  He is boring!!!!

No offense but this is my problem with most modern music. Do you want a show or do you want good music?

I think there is room for both....I like entertainers and I like pure singers.........they both have a place for me...

This David A....I really like this kid........when he opens his mouth...the music just seems to flow out of it...very smooth and effortlessly....

David Cook, is more of an entertainer, but he proved to me last night that he can really sing too....he is a very complete package...

OK...I guess it depends on what you like. I have an extensive background in music and I was classically trained. "Show" does absolutely nothing for me. Sometimes at a concert I will even close my eyes so that I can concentrate on the music and not be distracted by some silly 'showmanship.'

Don't get me wrong....I love musicians at their best....

as far as american idol........I just like seeing a bunch of kids...........with some talent........go from rags to riches.........some of these kids was flippin hamburgers a few months ago.........now, they are on the verge of stardom....

(1. David Archuleta) *
2. David Cook
3. Carly Smithson
4. Michael Johns
5. Syesha Mercado
6. Jason Castro
7. Brooke White
8. Chikesie
9. Rameile Malubay
10. Amanda Overmyer
11. Kristi Lee Cook
12. David Hernadez

Great discussion going on here!!! With Carly out of the race, the top 3 is a little uncertain for me. Really surprised that Jason Castro and Brooke White are still hanging in. Personally like them both, but they don't have much versatility to their style.

At this point, still putting all the money on David Cook to win it all.

Predictions on who will be the final 3????? Anyone???

kimmi

I hope what happened to Chris Daughtry does happen to David Cook.  David Cook is too good to be under the American Idol contract for 5 years.  It has only worked out for 2 of the past winners and more people that made it in the top 5 have careers that are just as good, if not better.  He will get picked up quickly.
Take time to smell the roses.

I love David Cook.  I like the way he can take a song and make it completely different.....like he did with Billie Jean and then the Dolly parton Song.  he will do so much better without the contract from Idol.  he is another Daughtry...one that will be much better without the Idol contract to have to go by.

I can not stand David A.  All he ever does is stand there.  Yes he can sing...but he has no stage presence at all.  I am really surprised that Jason and  Brooke are still there.  They can also sing...but everything sounds the same anymore.

David Cook singing Music of the Night sealed the deal for me!!!

Dialidol.com has the bottom two as Jason Castro with Brooke White at the bottom.  Either of them could go tonight.

Brooke bit the dust. I'm not disappointed...at all.
