I'm really stretching for a new topic here, so this one might seem a little strange. Have you ever thought about how the different foods, and candies, that have been around for a long time, sometimes just fade away, all of a sudden. New versions, and different flavors, seem to push the good, and familiar foods right off the shelf. Sometimes, the stores are sooo smooth, you don't even realize it's gone. If it's something you use a lot of, you realize it's gone right away. There are soooo many things, I wish they still made. This thread is for discussion on products that are no longer made or sold. * special note* some products may be sold in different regions ,and aren't necessarily gone forever. I'll start us on our way.....

Does anybody remember Tootsie Roll Pop Drops? They were a hot item back in the 80's.  They were a mini version of a Tootsie Roll Pop, but there was no stick in them. God, I loved those. They were fairly popular, and all of a sudden *BAM*  they were gone LOL!!!

I also miss the KFC Chicken Little's. I know why they are gone. KFC couldn't make much money on them. They were 2 for $1. Man, I used to buy a six pack, when I bought them. They were g-r-u-u-b!!!!  :drool1:

Does anybody remember Kraft Fudgies? They were those little chocolate carmels, in the foil wrapper. I ate a lot of those as a kid.

I've looked everywhere trying to find those 2 candies, and as far as I know, nobody makes them anymore. OK, I got us started, please add your list to the thread. I think this could be an interesting topic.

Does anyone remember when one of the bubble gum companies (Bubble yum maybe) put bubble gum in a squeezable tube?  I remember my sister and I only getting it once.  We were starting to be savy consumers at that point!  You couldn't get all the gum out of the tube!  Thank goodness for mom's everlasting supply of chopsticks to try and scrape out as much as we could!

Gum by the inch?  Do they still make that?

Its not a candy but when I was a kid I used to buy these things like Push Ups called Cho cho's....Closest thing I can find to what they tasted like is Wendy's Frosty.  Ya know, come to think of it I don't remember seeing Push Ups anywhere lately either.

Man they can not get rid of push ups!  I used to like the rocketship popsicles too.  They were red, white and blue and the white part was lemon ice.  I loved them!

Is that the orange ice cream w/the stick think that you use to push it up out of the round cylinder? They still have them, but they're "character" pops now...like sponge bob.

Licorice jump ropes - they were about three feet long and a tube of licorice.  Not really the same consistency of a Twizzler but a little softer.  I don't know anyone that jumped rope with them.

The ice cream trucks here still have those. They're they cheapest thing they offer, so all the kids usually have them.

What about candy necklaces? We used to wear them for a week...get them all dirty and matted in our hair and still eat them! :puke:

The convenience store near my house used to have Charleston Chews in the refridgerator.  They were chocolate covered taffy.  When in the fridge they could break teeth!

They have the gum that looks like a tape measure....is that what you mean?

I remember living in WV, there was a Tastee Freeze, similar to Dairy Queen, but I'm not sure they're around anymore. They had the MOST awesome hot dogs. The rolls were like toasted bread instead of a hot dog roll.

They still have it. My daughter is a bubblegum enthusiast.  She loves that, because I think she thinks she's getting more.

Did anyone every by candy cigarettes as a kid?
