It's goin' on 11:00 pm, and I just realized it's only 14*. I just trudged my happy azz out to the cat barn, and lit the space heater. I was unaware that it was suppose to get that cold tonight. Gotta keep the kitties, and the lone Opossum warm. The senior citizen Opossum is stayin' at Che' Dexter's tonight. He'll be dining on the finest Friskies and well water this evening. He has a standing reservation.  ;D We aim to pamper here. If your Opossum enjoys the finer things in life, make that call, and reserve a room for him/her here today at.... Che' Dexter's!!!  :biggrin:

I had forgotten all about your opossum.  I'm surprised he hasn't invited all his little opossum buddy's.

It is a layered compost that doesn't need turned and you can layer it anywhere you want to start a bed.  A friend of mine does it and let me borrow the book.  I hope it works.  If not, I have a mess to clean up! haha

Got some bad news guys.  :'( The senior citizen Opossum checked out of Che' Dexter's for the final time last night.  :'( I went out to feed the critters, and I noticed the big boy wasn't movin'. I'm pretty sure he's gone. When Hubby wakes up, I'm goin' back out, and he's goin' with, and we can see for sure. The Opossums are really docile but, I never get too close to them. They are "wild" animals, and it's never good to tempt fate. I think this Opossum was very old. And, he is the biggest Opossum I have ever seen. I'd say he probably weighs somewhere around 30 lbs. He looks like a small hog. It's sad he's gone but, at least he died in a warm shed, and he had had plenty of food recently. He also was in the company of many cats. I never did see the cats cuddle with him but, that's not surprising considering Opposums stink to the high heavens.  :spooked: Hubby just woke up so, we'll be finding out soon. The ground is frozen so, it will probably be a trash bag with a curbside service.  :preach:  :biggrin:

We've got bad weather movin' in. We have a snow storm comin' tomorrow,and another one on Wednesday. Tomorrow, we could get 2-4 inches of snow, and they haven't set an amount for Wednesday yet. GOOD TIMES!!!  :rolleyes: Right now, the temperature is 28*,and we have some lite snow fallin'.  :yes:

A new storm, a classic Alberta Clipper, will race into the northern Plains overnight. A blizzard warning is posted for extreme northeast Montana, most of North Dakota, northern South Dakota and extreme western Minnesota. Blizzard watches extend southeastward into Iowa.
Although snowfall with the clipper won't be heavy (mostly 2 to 6 inches at best), strong, gusty winds will blow and drift the snow dropping visibilities to near zero at times. Some gusts will reach 60 mph. Temperatures, too, will be dropping as the storm swirls by. Wind chills could reach dangerous levels, as low as 30 below.
The clipper, bearing snow and icy winds, will continue to dart southeastward through the Upper Midwest Monday. See National Forecast for the latest details.

He's officially gone to the big Opossum hole in the sky.  :'( He was huge. It was all I could do to wrestle him into the trash bag. His tail was as big around as a nickle.  :spooked:

I wish that blizzard would hold off until Tuesday night. Wednesday, corporate is comming to review our store, and I don't want to be there when they come.  :no: I hope that front slows down. *fingers crossed*  :biggrin:
