I didn't think it ever got that warm in Alaska.  I figured summers probably were more in the upper 60's to low 70's range.
Neither did I !!!!  Wow, I learn something new everyday.

Well, it's 7:40 pm and the temperature is 26*. It looks like we may have a storm rolling in tommorrow afternoon. Possibly up to 6 inches of snow, or it could miss us completely.  I can't miss anymore days because of the weather.  I'm even working on my B'Day this year, I want the hours.

Time to do my DOUBLE sun dance.....

Anyone who can take a snooze in the middle of the afternoon can sleep in Alaska. They also sell these wonderful blackout shades and curtains. When I first moved here from Va.Beach my brother had to call and remind me that it was night. After the first month I was used to it. Lots of differences between Anderson, In.  Va.Beach, Va.  and Fairbanks, Ak.

Is it really as beautiful up there as I've heard it is?

Maybe even more. Lots of pictures on webshots.com. I personally think anyone who has a chance should see Alaska at least once in their life. I'm not sure I would have moved here if I had visited first, but I have come to really like it here. Besides, it cost more to move away than to stay. ;D

If you like it and you're happy thats what counts most.   A friend I went to school with went there on vacation this summer and sent me some fantastic pictures.  She and her hubby had a blast.

Well, it's 4:01 pm ,and the temp is 46*. It's been sunny here all day, but it started getting cloudy about 15 minutes ago. Right now, I've got conflicting accounts as to what amount of snow we could get. First I heard 3-6, then I heard 1-2, now it's back to 3-6 .  So, I really have no idea what we're going to get. I just wish Winter was over.
