I'm still perplexed...I am torn between waiting until I move away from the humidity & leave it all one length to see if I want to cut it or if I should bite the bullet & get it layered with bangs, knowing how long it took me to grow it all out.

Why not wait until summer to decide?
If you don't have anything nice to say then come over here and sit by me!

Sunny

And I may just do that, Tallulah! That'll give plenty of time to think it over!

I'm going under the scissors tommorow. I can't take this hair anymore! My hair is long, past my shoulders and so thick and heavy. It just looks ... lifeless. I keep it clipped up all the time, because I can't stand it on my neck...it's too hot.  I'm still going to keep the length, but I want it layered and thinned out some and I'm getting my bangs back.

Today is the day! Let us know how it goes...

I've been debating on bangs, too. Not thick heavy ones or anything, but since I keep a side part, I want bangs to match...oh hell, i dont know how to describe it! Just a angled line of bangs or something. Sheesh.

I know whatcha mean...and that's where I'm at, too -- although, it's so nice to have all of your hair scoop up into a ponytail. *shrug*

I will...of course my hair looks great today. Notice how it always does the day you plan to get it cut?

Okay, done! Now,  I don't need to do my crunches because that was at least 10 lbs of hair. OMG too much hair!  She did a great job and I really really like it. I have my long bangs and layers. It's just a a little longer than shoulder length and layered to curl under, out or scrunch.

This is the 1st time that I've gone to her. Very friendly and beautiful hair. She looked 40 and admitted she's almost 60. The only down-side...she is a smoker and it wasn't strong, but I could smell it on her and now I swear my hair smells kinda smokey, but I know it's just me. I don't know when I became so sensitive to that.

Yes...let's see the hair!

I'm the kinda person that takes a magazine picture in to the salon & says, "I wanna look JUST like HER!"

(And I usually get laughed at)

~Daisy~

Same here! In fact, I was just googling for my "ideal bangs." No straight across for me!

Yeah...remember my story about cutting my hair at 30...and realizing now that it didn't make me look thin...or like Martina McBride?

LMAO!

~Daisy~

Yeah, that's kind of what I am trying to avoid. That, and any possibility of "poof." My hair's thick and if its not done just right, I end up with poofy bangs.  O0

Yipes! Anything but the poofy bangs! LOL! Or, the *too short* shrink-way-above-the-brow-line bangs that don't do much of anything.
