Well, it has been a helluva a day, subbed with special need kiddos today and they are so sweet but wear you out.

Well, I can see where you would think that but I have seen a God who has placed a child in a mother's arms and allowed her and her husband the opportunity to adopt when they couldn't get have children. Yes,  I have seen special needs children and God only gives those to people who can handle them and I have worked with those children, they have taught me more about love and life than one can find possible. My mother passed away from cancer in 1993, she fought a good hard battle with it and yes, I blamed God for letting him take a woman who never smoked, drank or did any kind of drugs to allow this to happen but I also know that disease doesn't discriminate towards anyone. I am not saying God is fair and just because at times I don't think he is but I also don't see the need to blame him for everything in the world. Look at this way- a drunk gets in a car, mows down an 18 year old and kills that person, who is blame God for letting the 18 year old get killed or the dumbass drunk?

  Why thank god, why blame god, he doesn't exist.  Your god isn't perfect, for there isn't anything perfect .  All mental illusions placed in your mind by false preachers and your family from the day you were born.  All religions are pure bullshit, smoke and mirrors for the Sheeple.

That is your right to think that and my right to believe what I want to believe. No one has put smoked mirrors or other things in my mind or lead me to be a sheeple. Everyone has a free mind and right to believe what they want. You believe what you want and I believe what I want.

Thanks Palehorse, it would surprise everyone if they knew how open-minded I really am!!! 

I can appreciate that. I was raised in a religious houshold, but it was also an open minded household. I was made to attend church until I came of age. It was then that I was given a choice wheter to attend or not; I never went back.
I had begun to question the things I had been taught and the more I looked, the less any of it made sense. I started arguing furiously with religious people. I discovered that no amount of arguing was going to change anyone's mind. It was up to that individual as to what they chose to believe and no amount of logic could change that if they weren't willing to be open minded.
In retrospect, I saw that I wasn't arguing with the intent of changing their mind - I wanted them to change mine. But, it never happened. You'd be hard pressed to ever hear an atheist admit this but, I WANT to believe. It's a nice story and all, but I'm simply not capable of suspending the logical part of my brain that calls BS.
I have my opinions,  but I no longer make it a practice to argue about it or let it color my perceptions of others.
A life lived with an open mind lets the breeze blow through.

Ah, well stated Rorschach. I find nothing to disagree with and whole lot to agree with!

I agree with you Rorschach Mask. People have a right to free will and to believe what they want. No one tells me what to do or who to believe, that is what I decide.

I'm normally not in this topic because I really don't agree with the name of the topic, I think it's the people not God that sucks, but this it beyond ridiculous so I had to post it.
