The Troll

  A little change in topic.

                     Where is God.

Crystal Cathedral files bankruptcy,  Robert Schuller 84, founder's work is at it's end.  Building the Crystal Cathedral in 1980 out of 10,664 panels of glass and $20 million in dollar bills is about to come to an end.

The organization blames the collapse on changing times and the disastrous attempt to hand the church over to Schuller's son.

What a shame all of that money spent for nothing.  $20 million for the building and who knows how much more for the hookahs, pookahs, smoke and mirrors and smoke, for nothing.  Where are you God.  Let us   :peach:  :pope: and the Holy :ghost:

Didn't you ever hear of the Golden calve.  "Where's the beef."

I may be wrong but I believe that "livestock supplier" is how personal escort services and sex toys are typically billed.
What the Hell is a signature? Am I supposed to type something in this box? I guess I'll find out.

Proof of conditioning!

That why the Christians want prayer in schools.   Get them early and brain wash them.  With all of what we have found out about the Universe and what we have found through science.  How could any one believe in God.

If there is a God, why does he hide, hide in a bush, in a cloud and in a light.  Hell, nobody has seen him as long as there has been man.

Troll, as you know, I believe in the living God, the God of Moses and Abraham. I was skeptical once myself, then I had a stirring experience that was very personal and I do not wish to provide details of but will say that I am no longer in doubt. I am pretty sure that the Bible says Exodus that God told Moses that no one can see him and live. There is nothing wrong with prayer, or having a personal relationship with the creator. I don't even see anything wrong with prayer in school but can see where it would lead to unrest so it is best not to. In fact, since I met you Troll I have consistently included you in my prayers too. If you only knew how offensive I find some of your blasphemous posts but I know you don't understand. I just don't know why, if you do not believe in God, you ridicule him so much? Do you find it humorous or is it that you intentionally want to offend me?

Lester if  you want to be offended my Atheistism,  sorry.  But what you see is what you get with me.  You can take me or leave me.  But there is one thing you don't have to worry about an Atheist.

We don't want to take your religion, your freedom, a woman right to have an abortion, and treating gays unfair because the way they were born.

My mother was a BIG TIME CHRISTIAN LADY.  She burned my two sisters and me out on religion.  One of my happiest days was when I got my first car a 1935 Hudson Terriplane 2 door coupe.   That's when I had to go to work to keep it and I DIDN'T HAVE GO TO CHURCH.   I have read a lot of the bible, because I HAD TOO..  I think it's a fairy tale.  But it does have some history.

But if you have read any of the Old Testament against the New Testament.  Brother we have to Gods.  But I am a believer in science and the truth not fairy tales.

But what tickles me is when the Christians say they want prayer in school.  But let them think the prayer would be led by a Catholic or a Mormon.  Katy bar the door, the devil :devil29: and hell is here.  End Times can't be far away. :rotfl:  :rotfl:

To be candid, leaving has crossed my mind as much as I hate to. I will mull it over and let you know. Thanks for being honest with me Bob.

Lester, I try to work out three days a week at the Riverview Rehabitation Center.  It is great, all kinds of machines and a big hot water pool for exercises and rehabilitation.

Many days sitting on the exercise machines I watch them bring in the retarded children.  In braces, wheel chairs with twisted bodies and mental retardation where they can't close their mouths or hold up their head.  I have said, if there is a God, WHY?

I have never seen a prayer work, I have never seen a miracle.  I have never seen a eye, finger, arm, leg, face or any other body miraculously replaced.

My mother's Christian church had a prayer chain line.  Anybody that hit the hospital really sick and bout to die.  All of the church ladies would get on the telephone and call each telling them to pray.

You know I never seen and I watched.  Nobody lived no matter how hard they prayed.  Lester can you imagine how we would be over run by Christians if they lived because of prayer.

You know a farmer and animal lover take better care of their animals than God takes care of his flock.  He lets them starve, drown, die of disease, over breeding and die of thirst.  It as been a con game from the beginning.

Back in the Greek times an inventor dreamed up a device if you put a gold coin in the slot you could buy a little amount of holy water. :sneaky:  He also invented a device that when they built a fire in the fire ring in front of the temple it would heat water make steam and magically open the doors to the temple. :sneaky:  It has been smoke and mirrors for centuries.  Let bleed the Sheep (sheeple)  It has always been that way.  With the religious leaders.

I like so many others and we are growing in large numbers each year, have woke up and we can see the real light and it isn't religion.  It's science and the God they are always talking about.  Hey, that us, in our brain.  Prayer, it just like sitting down and talking to yourself and think about all of the way you, yourself can solve the problem.  Not God.  Let us   :preach: :pope: and don't forget to kiss his ring.

Lester Sasquatch

I cannot explain why some people suffer so much Troll. All I can say that at least one of my prayers was answered when I witnessed a miracle in June of 1986. There was no faking Troll, that I know with absolute certainty. But I no longer give the details of my experience as it only leads to skeptics saying either I am lying or try to explain it away by science. Be careful about what scientists tell you Troll, many of them are arrogant know-it-alls that have an answer for everything regardless of whether they can prove it or not. What it boils down to is believing in God is an individual choice and a person can choose his own path. I never try to push my beliefs on others but on the other hand I feel I have the right to defend my belief.

What bothers me is not your belief or lack of, it is that you post things I find offensive that serve no useful purpose in the conversation. I guess some might find them funny but I don't. I think you know what I am talking about, taking God's name in vain for one. I can respect a nonbeliever stating why they don't believe, it is the blasphemous phrases that offend me. Troll, I would much rather you say offensive things about me rather than the God I worship.

We all seem to paint with a broad brush and, if we can find a video or a news clipping where a people representing a group we don't like does or says something stupid, we try to say they are all that way. That would be like saying that since there are Americans in jail for murder, all Americans are murderers. Or that since a man is in jail for drugs, all men use drugs. Yes, there are many preachers who must be in it for the money and power. Yes there are men in the pulpit who should not be there. But there are many Christians who are good people too. Christians who do not go into a full gospel frenzy of disorder, speaking in weird tongues. Just like there are Christians who do not believe in handling venomous snakes.

What the Hell is a signature? Am I supposed to type something in this box? I guess I'll find out.

The Troll

Lester, I'm glad you had a miracle.  You are truly blessed, because you the first one that I would believe you thought you had one.  I hope it was a really big one, you probably won't get anymore.

Once a person find out and declares he's an Atheist and that there is no God and no Devil and no record keeping on the number of sins someone else think you might have.  Well, I agree we do look at people who do believe with jaded eyes.  Most of the sins there are were written by the Pope :pope: and holy men trying to keep us in our place.  They were not written by God.  Because there is no God.

Just to keep peace between you and me, we won't talk about it.  But the other religious right wing nuts, I can't keep my mouth shut.  Because practically every thing they say is bullshit.

If other people can talk about their religion, well I should be able to talk about mine, Atheistism.
