You know, God really sucks, because of the shit he let's happen.  You seen him many times, in fact too many time.

He's Traveling Preacher Larry Jones, the crying and begging founder of the Save the Children.  The $1 billion Organization that supossly take care of poor children in other country.

Well, he has been fired for bugging the other officials offices in the organization and giving his wife secret pay raises.  Her income was not disclosed.

Mr. Jones, if that's what you want to call him makes $235,000 a  year.  Yes, $235,000 a year for a charity.  How many kids could that feed and I wonder what he was paying his wife.

It's amazing how someone in his position can't keep from being a theif.  And God let's him get by with it.  Let us  :preach: :pope: and the holy ghost :ghost:

I have followed this thread from time to time and I have a question.  Why is it that because some, or should I say, a lot of people use God as their excuse to get buy with less than appropriate behavior you give God the bad rap for it?  Wouldn't it be more, for lack of a better term, politically correct to say that people who use God as an excuse to do things which are wrong suck?  That would encompass quite a few people I realize but there are those who believe in God who are not bad people and are in fact everything they're supposed to be if they are true believers.  Organized religion sucks, TV evangelists suck, do gooder Christian organizations suck, but God does not suck.  God is simply something some people need for comfort during troubled times.  If they chose to see him as having been a person in their minds eye so what why put them down for it?  I feel one should be able to recognize someone who has a good heart and believes from those who are jerks and just use God as their excuse to bully people and don't even come close to practicing what they preach.

I don't want a big name calling thing started over this I would just like the question answered.

Well, when you can prove that there is a God, that prayer works and preacher who claim that God told them to do something.  Like burn korans, that the end tmes are coming in 2012 yet the teabaggers are running like there is on tomorrow.  Maybe I would change my mind.  But we can wait until hell freezes over and the cows to come home, it ain't going to happen.

If I ever seen a Anti-christ group, it the Tea Party.  Professing to be Christians and Jesus loving, which their are not.  Selfish, selfserving, bigots, racist and of all thing greedy.  Let us Pray.   :preach:  Oh yeah, some one else put something in the pot.  :flap:  :flap:  :flap:

The "god" that sucks is the one of human creation; which is why society endures those who invoke their religion as a means to obtain endless "do overs". That "god" is not real, it is a created perception of a "god" and therefore imperfect and invalid! And sucks!

Serious question here Troll and try to answer without putting someone or something down for a change.  What do you do when you're going through a rough time?  What or who do you turn to for comfort?

We do what we have always did.  Suck it up and move on.  They keep preaching prayer.  To me prayer is just talking to your interself.  If every time we had a problem and we need a decision, if we would sit down and have a long talk with our interself and weight all of the pro and cons of the problem.  A lot of our problems would solve themselves or we would have a very good idea what we need to do.  Talking to God doesn't do a damn bit of good.  Do you know of any body part that has been reproduced through prayer.  An eye, nose, hand, finger, liver, lung, leg, brain, no you haven't.  Because none of our doctors can do it.   It's just like the crippled and brain damaged kids I see three days a week and the Health Center.  If the doctors can't fix them, God won't.

But to really be able to come up with the answers you need to draw comfort from something to clear your mind and to some, and I'm not talking about the nut jobs here, use god as a means of comfort to clear their minds.  I don't believe there is an invisible man in the sky watching our every move but I do believe there is something in each of us that guides us and some just don't have the sense to separate the good from the bad influences and go berserk or they're so caught up in selfishness that they are only able to think of number one, themselves, and are thoroughly convinced that their way is the only way and what they believe is all their is and they use god as a con.    That's why I don't believe "god" sucks but rather the people who use him/it as an excuse to bully people into their way of thinking or to bilk them out of money or whatever.

I think one of the reason the "GOD" thing continues is, it because there are so many people who are alone.  People who don't have anyone to talk to about their problems.  People they can trust that won't blab and tell they secrets to someone else.  This is where the preacher steps in.  The more people the preacher can draw in the more money he makes.

With a like minded group of people called a church, which is like family and the preacher using God to verify his words.  The clergy has taken advantage of the downtrodden and depressed people since man was created.

As long as we have people like the Pope for example, who uses people's weakness and depression for their own benefit, we will always have a God or Gods.  It's the money, follow the money and the power.

LMFAO!!!   :rotfl:

CNN) -- Two Georgia men have filed suit claiming that prominent Atlanta pastor Eddie Long coerced them into sex.

The suits, filed Tuesday in DeKalb County, Georgia, allege that Long used his position as a spiritual authority and bishop to coerce young male members and employees of his New Birth Missionary Baptist Church into sex.

"Defendant Long has a pattern and practice of singling out a select group of young male church members and using his authority as Bishop over them to ultimately bring them to a point of engaging in a sexual relationship," the suits allege.

Long is considered one of the nation's top black preachers.

The pastor took one plaintiff, Anthony Flagg, 21, on overnight trips to a half-dozen American cities in recent years, Flagg's suit alleges.

"Long shared a bedroom and engaged in intimate sexual contact with plaintiff Flagg including kissing, massaging, masturbating of plaintiff Flagg by defendant Long and oral sexual contact," the suit says.

Long took the other plaintiff, Maurice Murray Robinson, 20, to Auckland, New Zealand, in October 2008 for his 19th birthday and engaged in oral sex with him, Robinson's suit alleges.

"Following the New Zealand Trip, Defendant Long regularly engaged in sexual touching, and other sexual acts with Plaintiff Robinson," Robinson's suit alleges.

Long spokesman Art Franklin said Tuesday that "we categorically deny the allegations."

"It is very unfortunate that someone has taken this course of action," he said. "Our law firm will be able to respond once attorneys have had an opportunity to review the lawsuit."

Both plaintiffs said the pastor, his church and church employees gave them cash and lavish gifts that ranged from cars to college tuition.

The suits also said that Long framed the sexual relationships as religious in nature.

"Defendant Long would use Holy Scripture to discuss and justify the intimate relationship between himself and Plaintiff Robinson," Robinson's suit alleges.

The suits are seeking unspecified amounts of punitive damages from Long on various counts, ranging from negligence to breach of fiduciary duty.
