Of course the earth will someday come to an end, but not because of a biblical prophecy.

in your opinion.. ;)  and nothing else.

You mean when tax's went down, government got smaller, handouts were getting harder to get, something was actually done about the terrorist attacks on the US, business was expanding, the jobless rate was less than it had been in years?  You mean that 8yrs?

No, I was living in this country.

What planet are you from? Or have you just been drinking some of your own kool aid for way too long?

"Know this: The greatest contemporary enemy of the Era of Small Government was George W. Bush.

It was Bush who insinuated the federal government into education on a mass scale; before Bush, schools were for states and municipalities. It was Bush who created a new and whopping homeland security agency after Sept. 11. It was Bush who took a balanced budget and turned it into Reaganesque deficits. And it was Bush who called off the regulatory dogs in a pioneer of Wall Street buccaneering that at least contributed to the mess we're in now."

Here's more.

Quote from: poster4After having thoughts that Obama might be the antichrist (before I even knew anyone else even thought this), I did some research on my own. The following is what I have found that suggests that Obama fits the puzzle. The beast, or antichrist, "was given a mouth speaking great things" (Rev 13:5). The beast will have seven heads that are symbolized as seven hills (Rev 17:9). People have thought that was Rome, since Rome sits on seven hills. However, another city has seven hills--Honolulu, where Obama was born. It's true, but don't take my word for it--look it up yourself. Furthermore, the beast will speak of hope and peace. I believe these three factors fit Obama.
Furthermore, the beast will suffer a deadly wound to the head, but will heal. He will also be given authority for 42 months. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens ...

Let's see:

Using the earth's resources faster than nature can replenish them leading to the eventual destruction of mankind

Or

The sun eventually burning out leading to the death of all things living which rely on sunlight

Or

the Rapture and/or the Millennium

Opinion, yes, but life experience tells me that either of the 1st two are much more likely and NONE of the above has a thing to do with Obama.

Every religion thinks IT is THE right one, the chosen one, the only one to follow. Which is wrong? (Hint: the word "ALL" comes to mind).

Once again we are forced to deal with the fallout that is the direct result of centuries of "conditioning" brought about by humankind's fervor for spiritual guidance disguised ; religion.

End of times, end days? Perhaps, but not because of any of humankind's God like creations.

Too many zealots have been claiming the end days for centuries now, based upon that book that humanity assembled, edited, and has been using to control the masses for centuries.

What'cha gonna do? Get over it, accept the fact that the human God is a tool, and start looking inwardly for the true guidance that has been there all along folks. This president, these days, these times are not the end of it all. Tomorrow the sun will rise again, and zealots world wide will join the ranks of Chicago Cubs fans around the world in saying, "maybe next year".

first of all, I am not an alarmist...saying the 'sky is falling'...but, it is my belief, that a day WILL come...according to scripture...when this "human God" will cease our way of life, the way we know it.......for those of you familiar with scripture, know what I am talking about....for those of you who don't...blow the dust off of your Bible and take a read....if anything it is a pretty good read....PH, I respectfully disagree with you, from the bottom of my heart.

btw...the Cubs WILL win it all ...... NEXT YEAR!!..       maybe

Well, he wasn't a friend to the environment, but I never implied it was all his fault. I was simply illustrating that I think all of the babbling BS about Obama being the antichrist or fullfilling some biblical end of the world biblical prophecy is nonsense.

I have NEVER implied that Obama is the antichrist nor am I suggesting that he is going to be the cause of the end of the world................I do think, EVERY leader we have had, is there because God wanted that particular person there...to fullfill His Will....be THAT what it may...Biblical Prophecy will be fullfilled...

and, there ARE folks out there who do blame the destruction of this earth because George Bush was against kyoto......

It's common sense, you take care of the earth IF you want the human race to survive. Not a lot of thought processes required to figure that one out. Bush wasn't "for" very many environmental initiatives. Not just the Kyoto Protocol. There is some truth to Bush not making conservation and protection of the earth a priority.

I didn't say that you did say Obama was the antichrist  my original rant was about the idiots trying to make a case for it. ;D There's NO truth to that.

To everything there is a season, and I strongly suspect that the earth is not immune to this line of thinking. The problem is religion attempts to lay claim to it happening, and it thus far has not. The only problem is that when it does, none of them (or anyone else for that matter) will be around to do the victory dance!

The creator will not end the earth and our lives. We will. Eventually. And when we get to what is next there are going to be legions of folks pretty pissed off over the fact they lead their lives in this place based upon a false and human-constructed premise that was very flawed from the get-go; thusly waisting the time they had here working for somethign that they had all along - their spiritual existance.

It isn't their fault really. That blame lays squarely at the feet of those individuals that have undertaken the power and wealth building initiative that religion was created for int he first place. It will suck to be them on the other side. Their spirits have not evolved enough to allow them to move forward.
