Not sure if you have noticed, but things ARE getting fixed....they haven't pandered to NO ONE!  I'm not super rich, but things are MUCH better for me right now. My Company I work for isn't Corporate America, but it is doing MUCH better right now.

Lets look closer:
Business Investments up 39 Percent Due to Tax Cuts.
Black Unemployment is record low. (Bureau of Labor Statistics)
April was best month in history for U.S. budget, according to CBO figures
U.S. Consumer Confidence Is at 17-Year High
Economy to grow at 5.4% rate in first quarter
Wages jump to highest level since 2009 - up 2.9%
The U.S. trade deficit narrows
Government spending as percentage of GDP down
US manufacturing sentiment highest level of expansion since May 2004.

I can go on and on and on if you want...Sir, the GOP and Trump, despite your personal hatred IS INDEED very busy fixing things.... ;)

Funny how the alleged purveyor of fake news somehow automagically become the tellers of truth when you need it to support a skewed and totally off base perspective.

That  39% "investment" increases is 99% stock buyback programs; benefiting no one but the corporations executing them. They throw you a scrap ("Bonus") and suddenly its all rainbows and puppies. .  .

I could go on but I don't see a reasonable outcome in doing so. I have better things toward which my time can be devoted.

No need to get nasty...this IS a forum and YOU suggested he and the GOP wasn't doing anything and I just proved to you beyond any shadow of doubt that HE/They ARE indeed doing very much and our economy is PROVING it.  His popularity numbers are growing too.

Ultimately you are right, there IS no need to go on, because there is NO reasonable outcome......YOU HATE TRUMP, so despite what he does......it will never, ever be a good thing.

The "zero-tolerance" policy he announced [in May 2018] sees adults who try to cross the border, many planning to seek asylum, being placed in custody and facing criminal prosecution for illegal entry.

The lie inherent in the "zero tolerance" policy is that it isn't zero tolerance at all.  The resources don't exist to prosecute everyone entering the country illegally so most are being handled the way they always have been...they record their information and set a date for them to appear at an immigration hearing.  Some go to their hearing, some don't.  Brandon Judd, a 20 year veteran of the Border Patrol and now the president of the union that represents them admits that only 10-20% of the people coming in are being detained.  Rather than including the families with children in the 80% that are not detained, the government is specifically targeting that group to use those children as bargaining chips for Trump's stupid wall (that Mexico is going to pay for).  This country has never before seen such a heartless, cynical administration.

In the National Association of Manufacturers' (NAM) quarterly outlook survey published on Wednesday, 95.1 percent of manufacturers surveyed said they have a positive outlook for their companies, a record-high in the past 20 years.

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) released a survey of its 14,000 members on Wednesday, showing record levels of confidence among the group and an overall positive outlook.

NAM cites the Republican-led tax law as a driving force behind the boom in US manufacturing.

Projected wage growth is also expected to rise at the fastest pace in 17 years.

Damn it Hawk, you know damn well there is not going to be a wage increase as long as the corporations hold the purse strings.  The only way there is going to be a wage increase is, is a raise to the minimum wage law.  You sure got to be on drugs.

If wages go up but everything costs more, are you really making more money?

You know Ex, that is a good question........the only thought that comes to mind after pondering this was, unless we get back to a "free" market, that is not artificially stimulated, as it was for the last several years....the answer it probably not. I think we are in unprecedented times.  I am interested in seeing how the Trump economy actually plays out in another year or so....IF, it ever happens. I am kind of optimistic, but who knows what is around the corner that could throw us back into another recession.

Bingo.......Now apply that to wanting the government to mandate a higher minimum wage and that's what HH and I have been trying to tell you.

Hankie, Trump's economy thinking will not work.  His plans will not float all boats.  In a Republican economy only the supers rich boats (Yachts) will float up.  George W. Bush got us into a recession,  with the swamp creatures in power, I am quite sure a depression could occur.  :koolaid: :trustme: Donald Trump --->:pigdance:

Harley Davidson is smarter than the chump in the WH. They negotiated an exemption from the tariffs!

And here we go. Harley Davidson :

https://www.wthr.com/article/harley-stung-by-tariffs-shifts-some-production-overseas-1

Harley-Davidson, up against spiraling costs from tariffs, will begin to shift the production of motorcycles headed for Europe from the U.S. to factories overseas.

The European Union on Friday began rolling out tariffs on American imports like bourbon, peanut butter and orange juice. The EU tariffs on $3.4 billion worth of U.S. products are retaliation for duties the Trump administration is imposing on European steel and aluminum.

President Donald Trump has used Harley-Davidson as an example of a U.S. business that is being harmed by trade barriers. Yet Harley has warned consistently against tariffs, saying they would negatively impact sales.

Harley-Davidson Inc. sold almost 40,000 motorcycles in the Europe Union last year, generating revenue second only to the United States, according to the Milwaukee company.
. . .

HD is the first of what I predict will be thousands of US employers that will undertake this very strategy.

Untold hundreds of US manufacturing jobs leaving the US just from HD alone. . .   All due to tariffs . . . Which the Chump started. . .

Proven fact...raising the minimum wage stimulates the economy...look it up if you don't believe me.

Other companies have already started talking about doing just that.  Trump's policies are forcing American manufacturers to offshore production even when they don't want to.
