 Why do "nice"  people like Trump? My family is a good example: I have four sisters. They all married well, have nice homes, go to church. As far as I can tell, they and spouses are all republicans, and know I am a Democrat. 

Hadn't seen any of them for a while, but last Saturday night went to the Richmond area for a birthday party for one brother-in-law. There were people from their church and a few others, plus other extended family members -- maybe 30 in all. It went well, and after the non-family people left, we all settled in the family room to catch up, especially to talk about our other sister, who is gravely ill. Then the  conversation went here and there, and we ended up talking about POTUS Trump. I said something, don't remember what, and one sister got up and in the stance of a referee, said, in a loud voice, "Time out! Time out!" And would not let me speak. I was mortified, but also angry, and said that since I was not allowed to speak, I was leaving, and walked out of the room. At that moment I forgot that I was riding with the sister who had just insulted me, and she and everybody else seemed to be following as I walked out the door and stood by the car I arrived in.

During the ride back up I-95, not a single word was spoken by me, sister, or her husband. I did thank them for the ride when I got out of their car.

Interesting thing was that the sister I rode with had said not too long ago that we should give Trump a chance, and the sister who hosted the party said to me as I was leaving, "You know what Clinton did was worse..." as if that was all that mattered.

I'm a heck of a nice guy...and I LIKE Trump!  Actions are louder than words....His words may not be the best, but his actions are doing wonders for our economy.

It is sad that just how divided we are becoming though....Sorry to hear you are having issues with the family.  It used to be okay to have differing opinions....not so much anymore.

How many of the children who came over without parents or teenage M-13 members who sneaked across are you going to take into your home? Any suggestions as to how to handle the kids who were sent across with someone other than their parents who bring them across then leave them to fend for themselves and disappear? Should the child traffickers who are caught be allowed to stay out of jail so the kids will have an adult with them who may or may not, most likely not, be their parent? Don't give me that BS that isn't happening crap because you know it is and the media is appealing to the emotions to stir up shit.

MS13 is a US originated gang. Period. Pretty sad when a street gang is more reflective of this nations historic immigration policies than the nation itself.

Who takes care of the children of Americans that are arrested and incarcerated? Do you? Would you?

Separation of families due to a misdemeanor violation of an immigration policy is cruel and unusual punishment; and itself unconstitutional. It is also a morally corrupt policy and practice that goes against the intentions of our forefathers as outlined within the US Constitution.

I've said it many times herein, our elected leadership uses, and continues to use, the least amongst us as a lever with which to whip up emotional turmoil as a means to blind us to the fact they are slowly taking away our rights and our quality of life. They are using it as a means to exterminate hope and sell this country, and by proxy our governance, to the highest bidder.

ALL of this is the responsibility of the Republican Party, it's extremist and racist policies and practices, and its followers.

They control everything; the house, the senate, and the Whitehouse. They wanted it, they got it, and now the real pain begins.

On a global scale this nation is repeating the mistakes it has been making domestically; colluding with the underbelly of this planet and withdrawing membership within philanthropic global organizations. Including those supporting basic human rights.

Trump is accomplishing what no president ever dared to attempt; the rapid decline of this nation on a global scale. Separating this nation from every single country that exists upon it. He will invade Mexico and/or Canada if he can get away with it. . .

  A nice guy you are not.   You need to see and read the description of an Narcissist.  People with a Narcissistic personality have no empathy, no sympathy.  They are liars, good actors.  They do not have any true friends, because they think they are better and smarter than anyone else.  Plus they think that people are to be used to make themselves feel better and live better.

Can they stay in detention facilities, illegal to keep children in a facility for more than twenty days. Does everyone get to leave after 20 days? I guess maybe some of the people who are so worried need to provide secure housing for all the families. Maybe they can put GPS bracelets on them. Every action presents problems no one is willing to address. For the record I don't think children should be separated from their PARENTS, but I also don't think we should have unlimited immigration.

No one is saying unlimited immigration. That is nothing but hyperbole. (The real kind). Zero tolerance is not the answer either.

It is political hyperbole at it's finest.  The LAW STATES, that if you cross the border...ILLEGALLY...and they have their children, THEY cannot go with the parents.  THAT is the LAW...it isn't a NEW law, it is a LAW that has been place since the 90's.  Trump didn't make this decision....Separation happens only if officials find that the adult is falsely claiming to be the child's parent, or is a threat to the child, or is put into criminal proceedings.......Trump has supported legislation that would legalize 1.8 million "illegal" immigrants.....btw....Illegal entry is a misdemeanor and illegal re-entry a FELONY....those who are trying to get in here KNOW this....it is POLITICAL HYPERBOLE!  All they have to do is show up at a "port of entry" and make an 'asylum claim'....rather than crossing the border illegally with their kids.


Congress can change these rules....Trump has had meetings with democrats, but they don't want to do it that way.....they are pushing for amnesty..which Trumps constituents does not want. 


It is INDEED a democrat party problem that they can fix.....but they have to remember.........THEY LOST this election, THEY can't have it ALL their wary.  Build the wall and this illegal entry problem goes away....no more separation of families.
