No he doesn't have a clue how government works since he has never worked in a government position. It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out except in your case than it takes a road map for that.
He sure seems to know how it's supposed to work and hopefully will get it back to where it does.

BREAKING: Trump Wins Electoral College Vote
December 19, 2016 By Calvin Freiburger 3 Comments

The Left's desperate fantasies of a last-minute revolt that would undo the 2016 presidential election are officially dead and buried — the Electoral College has confirmed that Donald Trump will officially be the forty-fifth President of the United States.

The Daily Caller reports that just minutes ago, Trump obtained a majority of Electoral College votes, putting to rest outlandish scenarios of enough electors refusing to vote the way their states did to deny Trump the presidency:

Despite claims from Harvard professor Lawrence Lessig that more than 20 Republican electors were considering voting against Trump, these so-called "faithless electors" largely failed to materialize, with state after state delivering its electoral votes exactly in accordance with the popular vote result. The first faithless elector came shortly after 2 pm, when a Maine elector cast his vote for Sen. Bernie Sanders instead of Hillary Clinton. Another elector in Minnesota attempted to cast his vote for Sanders instead of Clinton, but Minnesota state law prohibits such faithless electors, so he was replaced by an alternate who supported Clinton.

Leftists tried to pester, bully, and shame electors into going rogue...and with few exceptions (such as one duplicitous attention hound) they failed.

This leaves disgruntled supporters of Hillary Clinton with nothing but a talking point that she was somehow the country's "true" choice because she won the popular vote. But even that requires ignoring the fact that Clinton's entire popular-vote margin came from California — ironically illustrating the Founders' brilliance in devising a system that keeps one populous state from making decisions for the rest of the country.

With the fantasies out of the way and the reality of President-elect Trump now undeniable, the real work on how to Make America Great Again starts. Let the battle begin.

It DOESN'T work!!! That is why he got elected!!! People are sick and tired of the government NOT working for the people.....
Yes, it does work. Anyone being in any office should have an inkling of how government works and have had at least been in some form of a political office.

It STILL will not work, but you just keep right on believing it will.

The problem is that along with the Raging Cheeto, you Trumpanzees also elected MORE of the individuals that are the problem into congress; thereby ensuring that we have 4 more years of this crap. This time it will be on steroids because they have the keys to the kingdom.

On top of it all, the Raging Cheeto is appointing some of the heads of Korporate Amerika to his administration; the very individuals that sit at the helm of the entities lining the pockets of congress.

Here's a list of my personal predictions for the ensuing 4 years:

  • Increased oppression of workers rights nationally; now that they've got rid of pensions they'll go after labor laws next.
  • Increased depression of wages in order to further fatten up the corporate bottom line on the backs of those doing the work.
  • War. More of it in the name of oil.
  • Implementation of the draft in order to support said war.
  • Historic level pandering to Korporate Amerika.
  • Tax cuts for the wealthy & Korporations and increases for everyone else.
  • Armed conflict between Mexico and the U.S. over the border issue.
  • At least 3 terrorist attacks on U.S. soil.
  • Diplomatic exile toward the U.S. imposed by virtually all of Europe and Asia.
  • Exponential growth of the gap between the wealthy and the poor, with the middle-class going extinct.
  • Health care crises will result in the deaths of millions, and homelessness for millions more.
  • Legislative gridlock that will make the last 8 years look like child's play. All at the hands of those we just handed the keys to the kingdom to.

That's what I see in our future over the next 4 years. And a lot more.

And you know that for a fact because? Do you know him personally? All you have about him is second hand info fed to by the media.

Don't act as if you hold some kind of insider view on him yourself, because you don't.

He'd scrape you off the bottom of his shoe like dog excrement.

I guess we can use the same logic as Ex did........."Tripe!"....

Funny how trusting some are of known politicians, but are scared to death of a very, very, very successful businessman....despite how some people try their best to make him seem like a failure......he is the farthest thing from a failure.

A person can be successful as a businessman  but be a failure as a humanbeing.     Just look at yourself Birdboy.   :mama:

No dumbass, I don't know him personally and neither do you. But one thing is certain, he has no clue how government works same as you don't either. i don't have to get my news from the media like you do to see the man has no clue how to be a President.

Then how do you know he doesn't know how government works? What are you basing that on? If you're saying that because he's never had a job in the government that doesn't mean he doesn't know how things work.

Most people who have run and held any type of political office know the ends and outs of government and how it works. Most aren't some over inflated ego like Trump. They tend to have degrees in either political science or a law degree. I would explain it more but it just goes over your head.

Henry Hawk

The following is not directed at anyone in particular, but as a typical liberal group that I have been listening to for a decade now....this is just a release of my thoughts and frustrations on a cold as hell Tuesday morning....

Just as everyone on here KNEW, sure as shit, that Clinton was going to be our next POTUS....just as everyone on here KNEW, sure as shit, that Obama was going to bring "hope & change"...just as everyone on here KNEW, sure as shit, that Pelosi and Reid was going to reach across the aisle and make congress respectable again..........

Guys, try shutting up once in a while and sit back with your mouth closed (even if you have to bite it)....and listen to what the working class is saying.

Quit acting like you know everything....YOU DON'T.

Obama had his cabinet FULL of APPOINTMENTS that was decided by Citibank...and EVERYONE on here was just fantastic with it.

Trump is by far the most intelligent executive to even come close to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.....He is being attacked the most vicious as anyone who has been nominated as a candidate and who has been elected to the white house.....it has only been 6 weeks or so....and well....WOW!

So, excuse me, I will joyfully sit here and quietly watch.  (As I did during this past election) I fully expect our country to take a turn for the BETTER....because common sense dictates.  But, if you guys are smart as YOU think you are, as you were about this last election and SEVERAL other failed predictions...then when 2020 rolls around, you should have a shoe in at that election and you can go back to fixing things as you did in 2008.

Now, I'm through, feel a tad better and ready to attack my day at work.  :)
