Well, I guess I'll fess up and tell you that my father, after killing and dressing the two pigs we raised, used to save the brains and eat them mixed in with scrambled eggs. Nobody else would touch that. Even yuckier to us was that our Italian neighbors asked daddy to save the pigs' blood for them. They made blood pudding, and gave us several loaves of delicious freshly baked bread in return.
Pork brains are good but they're too hard to clean 'cause they're so small so I prefer beef brains.

We raised beef cattle but that is one thing we never ate was beef brains.
I am fixing home-made beef stew for supper tonight!!

Legal Sea Foods Alaskan King Crab and Sweet Corn Chowder.  I watch for it at Costco.  All I do is warm it up and add a shake or two of thyme.  Delicious.

That sounds good. We were at wedding reception last night. Ham and turkey sandwiches, meatballs, chips with queso dip, cheese and crackers, fruit with chocolate dip and wedding cake of course. Tea or lemonade to drink. My niece and her husband now, don't drink so it was kind of nice to be at a wedding where there was no alcohol served.

This evening we had breaded eggplant, the last of the eggplant in the garden.  Mmmmmmmmmmmm! So good.  :trustme:

My parents always had a garden, and I hated it when I had to work alongside daddy. He also planted flowers and had a place for grapes and wild strawberries. Funny thing is, now gardening, planting and tending things, planning what I'm going to plant next, is one of my greatest pleasures.

Getting ready to consume a big pot of Mexican Beans and corn bread, which are being prepared by my son-in-law in the kitchen.

Don't F'n Touch It is in the crock pot for lunch tomorrow, and authentic fajitas are on the menu for tomorrow's dinner.

Thursday will see a huge turkey and ham, and a full table of sides and pies for dessert. . .

And Friday will bring an intense turkey coma, with brief interludes of turkey sandwiches throughout the day. . .
