Have you fixed it and how did smell when it was baking and how did it taste to you guys.  We finished our last batch at noon.  Two and 1/2 days and still just as good.

The smell was WONDERFUL and it was ready the moment my wife arrived home from work. VERY tasty and I am freezing the rest in vac bags tomorrow.

I am adding a food processor to our list of wants though. Turning that grinder ain't fer sissies!

My grandma was a wonderful cook and a hard worker.  She would fix 3 to 4 hog stomachs for the family on Christmas and sometimes Thanksgiving.  She would clean the stomachs, hand grind the stuffing and fill the stomachs and hand stitch closed.  For me as a kid this was wonderful.

Your right about a Cuisinart food processor.  If you like to cook, these food processors are hard to beat.  I think the next time you make Grandma's Potato Pudding grind it real well.  I like it fine and smooth.

Also put the potatoes, sausage and garlic together in the processor.   Divide the ingredients for each batch for a even mixture.  Good Eats.

My wife is suggesting we make mashed potatoes first, then mix it all together. . . I'm leaning toward the food processor though. . .

Don't mash the potatoes.  Tried that the texture is wrong and doesn't taste the same.  I tried the hand grinder, too hard, tried the easy way making mashed potatoes something was missing.  Tried less garlic, no.  Tried more garlic, ugh to much.  2 bulbs of fresh garlic for 5 pounds of potatoes and 2 pound of whole hog sausage, plain.

The food processor comes with a recipe book.  Now I don't use it everyday.  But I had in many years and have use quite bit.  I about ready to buy another bowl for it.  You will be surprised how many uses it is good for.

Home made Rubin.  Sliced corned beef with Swiss cheese and sauerkraut.  Pile up the corn beef the size of the bread you using.  A few slices of Swiss Cheese and over that sauerkraut and microwave until cheese melts and slide this off your cooking plate on to your bread.  Good Eats.
