But that's just the "rumor mill."   :roll eyes:

She destroyed Hewlett Packard.

'Nuff said

No argument from me on that one.  I haven't read much on her, but this on seems like a tough one for her to overcome.

I wonder? With her history I tend to think she is a genuine idiot. But I guess that's OK. Every village needs one to remind us how precious and valuable sanity really is.

I do know Compaq turned from a really good computer into a piece of crap when it went to the bottom of the line HP but HP remained top of the line at least. At least their customer service was still good and you got English speaking techs unlike now. Still decent but you can't understand them again which means they started using foreign tech support again. Yes, I know first hand because I have one and had a Compaq at the time that happened. Guess I will have to admit that was a screw up on the merger at least but she did maintain good tech support at least unlike now. A little too early in the game to prejudge her on what happened there though.

WFT?

It was ten years ago! She was forced to resign! She laid off 30,000 people at HP while outsourcing jobs. She was booed at company meetings. While she was CEO, HP's stock prices fell by 65% and its debt nearly doubled.

She has been ranked as one of the worst American (or tech) CEOs of all time.

How can you defend that?

It is not a rumor. While she was CEO, HP lost more than half its value in Feb. 2009 and overall NASDAQ stock fell 26%. She was forced to resign by the board of directors. Two days before her being ousted, Forbes described her merger plan with HP and Compaq as "failing" and prognosis "doubtful". She has been desired as being the worst CEO tech of all time. She also still owes close to half a million dollars for unsuccessful bid in 2010.

Let's not forget that 30,000 people lost their jobs in the process!

My role as the forum conservative WANTS to defend her........but

I don't think she is an idiot.....she managed to become a senior vice president of AT&T...she is one of the first women to head up a Fortune 20 company, was chief executive officer of HP.

You don't accomplish those things being an idiot..........BUT....she did make some serious mistakes...and she is paying for them....and I don't, at this time, believe she should be POTUS.

Exactly and having 30,000 people lose their jobs makes it all right

Yep and I was just quoting what Time, Business Week and Forbes Magazine all said!
Those same companies also said:

In 2004, she was included in the Time 100 ranking of "most influential people in the world today"...
Forbes also named tenth on the list of The World's 100 Most Powerful Women...
and at one time Fortune magazine ranked Fiorina as "most powerful woman in business"...

The same could be said for Hitler in the 1930's. And the latest ranking includes Kanye West and Kim Jong-un.

I agree, but those same magazines once praised her an said she was the best,  then they bash her.  My point is more that Time is useless info.

She isn't defending it; she just said it's too early to pass judgement!

Yet she will immediately pounce and "pass judgement" on Obama within milliseconds after a perceived gaffe.

The same magazines that praised her also said she was useless so Forbes magazine and Buisness Week are rumor mills and in 2009, is when they made this claim.
