Doctor Zhivago. Several years ago, one of the PBS stations showed it without commercials. It was long even then, but such a good but sad movie that I didn't want to miss a minute. Was glad there was an intermission, so I could go to the bathroom and get a snack.

I am with you on this one. He was by FAR the best James Bond.  I also will watch any movie that has Robert Duvall.  That guy is the best.

The Love Letter, starring Campbell Scott and Jennifer Jason Lee. It's a Hallmark movie, an intriguing  fantasy about two people from two different times who fall in love.

Scott, a handsome fellow and talented actor, looks nothing like his famous father, the actor George C. Scott.

Yes. His father, George C. Scott, who died in 1999, was a well-known actor who starred in a lot of movies.  He was born in Wise, VA, not all that far from where I grew up.  (That's why I know about the connection between the two.)

The Blues Brothers. Loved every minute of it -- especially Aretha Franklin in the restaurant belting it out when she finds out her man is joining the band again.

In a Christmas kind of mood with the snow and all:  Holiday Inn, White Christmas and It's a Wonderful Life with the wonderful Jimmy Stewart.

Just finished watching The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. It's a very old movie (1957), so intriguing that I've watched it as least 3 or 4 times.

Bridges of Madison County. Brief romance between two mature adults, one married, one not.
