I'm kinda housebound right now, and keep drifting off while reading, so have been looking for movies, etc.  to watch while waiting for what feels like a sprain to heal without seeking medical help. Some of the stuff that you can get on cable TV is :spooked:   but this morning found "The Princess Bride" which I've seen several times. I probably would not have watched it in the first place if a retired Army/Vietnam War vet/analyst I worked with hadn't asked me if I'd seen the movie, and when I said "No," said "Watch it. You'll enjoy it." I did, and liked it so much  I bought a copy. It's a Rob Reiner movie (and that's enough of a recommendation for me -- that big hulk of a man is something else!).

I have seen it. We have believe it or not Top Gun and Days of Thunder on DVR, for some reason, my husband can watch those a hundred times. I on the other hand can watch Robert Duvall in Lonesome Dove series, and he and Julia Roberts in Something to Talk About. I can also watch McClintock with John Wayne a million times.

I love him in just about everything he does. The 2nd. part of Lonesome Dove, I think it is not as good as the first one. The second one has Jon Voight in it but looking at Ricky Shroeder is okay or however you spell the names. The actor that play Grissom on the CSI-Las Vegas is in it also but he gets killed so I didn't like that!

Fiddler on the Roof and Blast from the Past. How Green Was My Valley and Independence Day. My husband likes Lonesome Dove.

Hop Scotch, my all time favorite spy movie, which is also funny, and has some great classical music (mostly Mozart if memory serves me correctly).  Walter Matthau, Glenda Jackson, Ned Beatty, Sam Waterston. Matthau loses his job at CIA to a sneaky younger man and sets out to get even.

Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men with Walter Matthau, Jack Lemmon ( I think), Ann Margaret and Sophia Loren!

The Troll

It's a Mad Mad World the only movie I have seen four times and Men and Their Flying Machines is also great.

Cool Hand Luke.
A great movie. Just watched it the other night, again. Along with Big Jake, McClintock and Chisum!
