Well, the judge in Allen county ordered him held without bond until a hearing on the matter can be held next week. . . So he remains in the sin bin.

I'd say he's in for 13 yrs of pure hell 'cause they don't dare put him in the population and if some guard "accidentally" lets him out in the population he's screwed, maybe literally.

After further review, he will be eligible for parole at 6 years.

That just doesn't seem long enough for killing 1 motorcyclist, and maiming two others, all while ON duty and over twice the legal limit for blood alcohol content.

Had that been any one of us, they'd have thrown us under the fucking jail for life.  :mad:

However, that being said, the families seem to be satisfied with the sentence.

Seems to me he had been in trouble before this too.  Could be a reason they're satisfied with the sentence and I don't think I need to say much more here if you follow me.

The way I see it what time he quit drinking has little bearing on the fact that he was still drunk when he hit that bike and should have called off work.  He may have been fired but a life wouldn't have been lost.  I didn't read the story you posted about it but one of my fb friends who is really upset about this posted about it this morning.  Bikers stick together though so I'm sure he will get everything that's coming to him in the long run.
