I never had the opportunity to see that myself, despite seeing Yes a number of times, (a very large number of times), within the first half of their lifespan. Once Anderson left them I saw them only once after that. . . But I have almost all of their recordings. . . as Yes.

I think that over the years, I saw every single different lineup of Yes. Even when they weren't Yes (e.g. Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, and Howe)

A couple of years ago, I even saw Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman in an intimate little concert at GWU in D.C. Just the two of them. It was delightful!!!

I am envious!

Yes went through the "pop" phase like a lot of bands did; chasing the money. I only saw one live show during that phase, but then I was an early adopter when it came to their music, and when Anderson left the lineup it never was the same for me. I still bought their music because of Howe and Squire, and sometimes Wakeman, but never felt as connected enough to the newer work to spend money and time on their live shows at that time.

I attended a show during the arena series of super-lineups period, that had Yes within it. They shared the bill with Frampton, Skynyrd, and Gary Wright at Hawthorne Park horse racing track that summer. Anderson was still with them and I was in a state of rapture during that show. (It was the first time any of my circle of friends had seen them, so they were clueless except for the fact that this was the band that played a lot of the music that came blasting from my car stereo system).

Okay, here's a shot by Lynne Priest that presents my view of the August 1976 show at Hawthorne Park in Cicero, Illinois.

I say it is an actual representation of my view because I am in the picture.  :big grin:

I'm the long haired individual you see to the left of the picture in the foreground of the photograph.

Keep in mind I had just graduated High school that year, and Lynne was one of my classmates in the photography course I took that year. . .  :big grin:

I really think we a long lost brothers!  That could be me in the picture! I had the same hair!

I have some pictures that I took at a concert in 1975 of Yes on stage! I actually took a 35mm SLR with a tripod in to the concert! Try that these days!

Here's a picture of me in 1972. We were doing a sound check in a club in Savannah GA. We were playing Chicago's "Question 67 and 68" when this guy pulled a stool out in front of the stage and started drawing. By the time we finished the song, he had finished and walked up to me and handed it to me. He never said a word ... just gave it to me and walked away.

If you think about it, we are all just and it's only a matter of time before we get caught up in that big hair clog in the sky.
