John Nash (mathematician, Nobel Prize winner, and the subject of the movie "A Beautiful Mind"), and his wife :reap: HARVESTED :reap: in NJ last night in a taxicab accident.  He was 86 and should have been wearing a seat belt.
Yes, but ... his mind was obviously almost always on things that ordinary people do not even pretend to understand.  Consider this, from his long obituary in today's Washington Post, which included his lapse into schizophrenia:

"His mental illness came on when he was about 30, during what might have been one of the richest periods of his career. Dr. Nash was working at the time at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and was studying quantum theory."   :dizzy2:

and, without comment from me I will add this:

"I think it is safe to say that no one understands quantum mechanics. Do not keep saying to yourself, if you can possibly avoid it, "But how can it be like that?" because you will go "down the drain" into a blind ally from which nobody has yet escaped. Nobody knows how it can be like that."

I'm surprised nobody has posted this about Beau Biden, son of VPOTUS Joe Biden, who was sadly  :reap: HARVESTED :reap:this weekend of brain cancer.

Though I am NO fan of Joe's, I want to say that NO DAD (or Mom) should EVER have to bury one of their kids....and Joe, has had to do this twice now.  Back in 72, his wife and daughter were both killed in an automobile accident.  Both of his sons were injured.  From everything I have read about Beau, this was a first class guy.  He leaves behind a wife and two kids.  My heart goes out to the Biden family.

I was going to post about him but figured someone would give me flak about it!! You are right, regardless of a person's political beliefs, no parent should have to bury their child.

Yep!
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.
