Your original post was directed toward atheists.  Atheists speak out equally against both Islam and Christianity.  Fairly tales are fairy tales regardless of from which book club they come.
And when they speak out publicly against Islam someone comes down on them.

In this country, when atheists speak out against fairy tales, it's generally the Xtians that come down on them.

And both are wrong for doing so.  When it all comes down to it everyone believes everyone else should believe, think, and do as they do only some are worse than others.

Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

This entire thread is such bullshit.  The reason Christians get the lion's share of scorn in this country is that they try to legislate their beliefs to force the rest of us to live by their so-called morals.  No other religion does that.

Hum, tell that to the people who have been executed for believing in Christianity in a Muslim country. You need to get out more Ex.

I didn't know we were talking about other countries but are you implying that Christians never killed anyone who wouldn't conform to their religion?  I understand that your depth of knowledge about...well...pretty much anything is pretty paltry but surely even you have heard of the Crusades?  Just in case, you might want to look it up...millions were killed...might have something to do with why the Muslims hate Christians...just sayin'.

Just for the record, I will not engage in this topic..at least after this one thought.  I have my very strong opinion regarding this.  I agree with some of the stances from both sides.  The bottom line for me is this.  Things are what they are.  There are asshole Christians and asshole seculare and asshole atheist.
Christmas for example is a holiday celebrating the birth of Christ.  That is a fact that cannot be disputed.  Nobody is holding a gun to anyones head to celebrate it.  If a business wants to Celebrate and it bothers you, don't support that business....If a business does not want to Celebrate it and it botherys, don't support that business.
I think too many people are making a bigger deal out of it than it should be...on both sides.

How can they not make an issue out of it with that asshole blowhard Bill O'Liely bringing it up nightly?     He's fanning the flames on what (as you rightfully pointed out) is a non-issue, simply to pad his wallet with the funds of gullible idiots who fall for his garbage hook, line, and sinker.

Here's a clue: you don't get to restrict the conversation to only the few facts which support the nonsense that you used to start this bullshit thread and exclude everything else that is pertinent.
